I have been a resident in Long Beach for over 50 years and I inquired about the facility it is very clean from the outside and in my working years I used see patients there and it was very safe and clean . I just recently inquired information concerning the requirements for reciting at this property, and the lady that I spoke to was very very thorough and professional she went into detail about requirements which was truly helpful and appreciated ,They do have a long waiting list however I feel that it will be worth the wait upon my acceptance. I am very thankful and grateful for Long Beach having such a great facility in my time of need senior living I would take great pride at being a resident if excepted .💞😇😊👍🙏🏽

This would not be a safe place to live, elderly cannot leave keys for loved ones to get in to see about you; plus there is not a working system to buzz people up to allow them entry. If your loved one gets sick or hurt you cannot get in unless they come down to open door for you. My thought is what if they are immobile? How would one know ? Especially since there is no one sitting in lobby to open doors . That to me is not safe nor is it humane . I'm just saying ' what if?' ...

Hi Debra, Yes. As is the case with most HUD-supported housing programs, there is an actively-maintained waiting list at our facility. Feel free to contact the staff in our main office if you would like more information about the facility or the waiting list. Our management office can be reached at (562) 433-5787. ~LT
Greetings and thank you for your inquiry. To your first question, there is a nominal waiting list for virtually any assisted housing project such as ours, but don't let the length of any one of these waiting lists be a deterrent. These lists are actively maintained and the turn-over rate on them is generally much higher than you might expect. Please feel free to contact our management office to get more specific information about qualifying, the wait list, and to begin the application process. Our office can be reached at (562) 433-5787. We look forward to assisting you and your family further. PS... congrats to Ethan on his awesome baking-soda volcano project last year! It looked fantastic!! ;-) ~LT
Greetings M&A, it wouldn't be possible to know for certain with such limited information regarding your specific situation. Our qualification requirements generally fall into 2 categories: (1) age qualification of the resident with qualifying income, and (2) disability qualification of the resident with qualifying income. But the best way to be sure one way or the other would be to contact our management office during business hours at (562) 433-5787. Our on-site staff will be very happy to assist you further with evaluating your specific situation and eligibility. ~LT
Lutheran Towers is a fully-qualified HUD housing project serving residents with qualified low income and/or disabilities. As such, the rental rate for a unit is determined individually for each qualified resident in accordance with HUD program regulations. All of our apartment units are 1br/1ba and follow the same floorplan design. The waiting list for unit availability is administered by our on-site management staff. They can be reached for additional details about resident eligibility and unit availability by calling our main office at (562) 433-5787. ~LT
Hi Natalie. Lutheran Towers is a low income housing community overseen by HUD. As such there are not fixed rent rates. Rather each residents rent is determined in accordance with HUD policies and guidelines. I encourage you to contact our property management office for additional information. Thanks for your inquiry. ~LT
Lutheran Towers was established to provide qualified residents/households whose head of household is at least 62 years old. However, there are certain other factors that may contribute to determining the age requirement for residents at Lutheran Towers. Please contact our main office at (562) 433-5787 for additional information about these requirements. ~LT
Thank you for your interest. We are a low-income and disability-qualified housing facility so I would encourage you to contact our management office as soon as possible to determine eligibility and get onto the waiting list. The Lutheran Towers management office can be reached during regular business hours at (562) 433-5787. ~LT
We are truly sorry if you have ever felt discriminated against or bullied while searching for affordable housing. The Lutheran Towers property owners have investigated your claim with our on-site management agents and to date have not identified any issues or occurrences such as you describe. It is of the utmost importance that all regulations and requirements regarding discrimination and fair housing practices are employed and adhered to at all times. If you feel you have been discriminated against or treated unfairly by anyone while seeking affordable housing you should immediately contact the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) so that the situation can be properly investigated and remedied. ~LT
Hello Nancy. Unfortunately there is no simple answer or even an average rent that I could provide to you that would have any accuracy or helpful meaning. I would strongly encourage you to contact our office and speak to our property administrator about how to best estimate your mother's housing needs and costs. The Department of Housing and Urban Development also publishes information about how rent is calculated for elderly, disabled, and qualified low-income residents. But I would recommend a quick call to our property office as a good place to get started. Our office can be reached at 562-433-5787.
There are various criteria based upon age, disability, and income that are used to determine a candidate's qualification for subsidized housing. The best way to get the specific information that you are seeking is to contact our property management office at 562-433-5787.
