Good service and the best food. May take what seems like forever to get your delicious plate but it's being home prepared to order in the back. Mara was great, she handled our party of 9 with ease. This place is reminiscent of the old way of dining in the Flathead. Nothing has changed here for 25+ years. A home town staple. Love this place. Chicken n ribs + extra trimmings enough said. We loved everything about this place. Our waitress was amazing and incredibly nice. The prices were much cheaper than we expected, and there was so much food. We highly recommend stopping here!

Service is quick and friendly. My kids enjoyed their grilled cheese. They did have to add salt to their fries but they said they liked the taste. My mashed potatoes were very good, real and with a little chunks, I like it that way. Will definitely go back.

They have an entire gluten free menu that's 3 or 4 pages long. They're, also, incredibly good about making changes for whatever your allergy needs might be. If you need something switched out, they'll absolutely accommodate you.

Yes and no. Though we do accept reservations in the backroom, they're for parties of more than ten, but with the number of large and small tables, you rarely run into a wait if more than about 10 minutes. Most of the time, there's no wait at all for a table until you get into summer tourist season. For the sake of clarity, the backroom and niteowl are 2 separate restaurants. While the niteowl serves diner fare, including breakfast all day, and is open from 6am to 10pm, the backroom is more of a BBQ place and it's open from 4pm to 9pm daily and 4pm to 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday. They serve an all you can eat buffet on Sunday in the backroom from 4pm until close as well.
