Absolutely stunning any day of the year. Whether sunny or the ground is covered in snow, this is a beautiful place to visit.

This place is wonderful! There are trails you can walk on, fish you can feed, and the trees have eyes!! 💜

This is so worth coming to. So easy to park, entrance is free. Giant Springs is a treasure for the area, they attached fish hatchery is interesting and very quick to learn about how fish are spawned and then sent to various lakes and streams around Montana. The park is great for walking along Rivers edge it is paved and flat it is a beautiful walk good enough for people on walkers canes and wheelchairs all will have access to this incredible walk along the river. When's walking others happily greet you with a hello, it seems others in the area are so happy to be here. There are all kinds of birds in the area we saw seagulls pelicans and other Montana based birds. I highly recommend for anyone no matter if you're in good health or not so good health this is an easy place to come for a gentle walk.

Moved here to Montana August 2021. Since living here I've been to Great Falls area twice to go to Walmart for my shopping and automotive service. This was my third time going to Great Falls so thought I'd check out all the cool things to do out in nature in the area for a full day. This place was absolutely gorgeous. Loved it. Took close to 100 combination of photos/videos while I was there. Then followed up by going to Rainbow Falls 1.1 miles from here and then in the opposite direction 4.5 miles to Black Eagle Falls. They were ok, nothing compared to this spring Park. Definitely will visit again now that I live in this beautiful state.

There are plenty of places around great falls to swim. Out on lower river road there are several places and also several places in town to swim in the river!! As a resident of great falls I have been to all the swimming holes
While it is very cold right now in Montana, the Springs is beautiful. The water is a constant 54° and never freezes. It steams because the air around it is colder. The snow and the icicles add to the beauty. Many, many waterfowl flock to the Springs in the winter as well. The paved portion of the trails are plowed and you can enjoy a walk along the Missouri River too.
Yes they are charcoal grills I believe.
Eurasian Milfoil is what I was told. It's a invasive aquatic plant.
They are all over the Missouri, under bridges is where I have had the best luck! Also the sun river under that bridge by Wadsworth!
