We have stayed here in 2020 & now in 2021 as my husband had/has work in Blackwell. Great WiFi, cable, clean & comfortable room, full kitchen w/ pots/dishes/silverware. The owner, Pat, is very hospitable & you really feel like family. This town is quiet, clean, very friendly people.

This was the fifth of five RV parks I stayed in on this particular road trip. I chose it by accident, continuing north on I-35 after the ""Sunset Ridge RV Park" said they charge $50 "because the football game." That illustrated how dramatically different prices are in the RV park business. At $50, greed and naïve hubris plays a role; looking at my Google map results, weirdly I had LOTS of choices here, the Eastern edge of the dry, flat high plain. Three exits up, the "Tonkawa Casino RV Park" had the WIFI service I very much wanted "if you can pick it up from the lounge." Didn't like the prospect of that (though in the end, I wound up using its cheap, clean laundromat). The Pecan Creek Lodge & RV Park was an unusual experience. A very sweet, helpful woman showed me the one tiny but adequate spot for travelers. The place offered the "recently renovated" rock-solid WIFI service I wanted (the woman called and checked on it for me in advance). The rest of the spots in the oddly shaped park were permanent RV residents. The "lodge" was the shabbiest strip motel I've ever seen, though it was supposed to be fully booked. The RV park had no bathrooms, shower or laundry. But at $20 it was the best RV park value I've ever gotten -- so much so I wound up staying two nights. It gave me the chance to wander around this little town, deathly quiet but for neighborhood dogs furiously barking when Mike and I walked by. That included one sweet little dog, wearing a pink collar but no ID tags, wandering freely all over the neighborhood. Pitifully sad ... or free? I tried to feed her, but she ignored the food I put out for her, wandering away, sniffing. Mike and I also visited the nearby Kaw Lake reservoir, formed as part of a Corps of Engineers, which had its own RV park (Sandbur RV Park) ... a lovely spot tainted with several dumb-looking Trump supporters. I'm sure I would have paid more here, even if I could have gotten a spot (the place seemed full). I doubt the WIFI would be acceptable ... if it existed at all.

Stayed one night. Nice change of pace from chain hotels. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Would stay again.

A great place to stay if you need a place for a week or longer. All you need is your clothes. The owners/operators are very friendly. If you encounter a problem they fix it right away. I highly recommend this place. Would definitely stay here again.
