Outstanding on all counts! Friendly (yet unobtrusive) service, clean and comfortable dining area, upbeat atmosphere, extensive menu of dishes made with premium ingredients. This place is awesome. Lunch for two (2 entrees, 2 teas, 1 appetizer, 1 pear cider) including tip cost around $70 but that's partially due to our choices being on the upper end of the price spectrum. We have to drive 90minutes to get to Painted Horse, but we think it's worth the trip. We'll be back as often as is practical.

This place was recommended to me by someone I talked to in the airport. I decided to order the pot roast, mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. It was good but overly salted. The potatoes were super salty along with the gravy. I also order water all the time when I eat, there was no bottle water to order and I'm not from the area and didn't know that the water and anything made with it was going to taste like oil and gas. I ordered a lemonade, same thing. I finally decided on a glass of wine because i needed something to drink to wash down the salt. So if you are just visiting I would bring bottles of water with you to any restaurants. I loved the names that some of the food was named. I thought that was different.

Amazing steak! Cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. I was very impressed. The sides were delicious, Brussel sprouts and the potatoes went perfectly. The filet was wrapped in bacon which I was not expecting but it went well with it. Service was great and the place was clean and good atmosphere. Will look forward to coming back.

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday (along with most of the town). Filled with locals which is always encouraging! Sampled lots of yummy stuff: ribeye, mushroom burger, Mac and cheese, and the beer cheese dip. Highlights: $4 beer specials, all local beers too. Atmosphere. Quality of meat was incredible. Prices and quantity, come hungry! Lowlights: service was a bit slow (but good!), long wait on food, and dining room was freezing.

No karaoke that I know of more of a sports bar atmosphere with class.
