Working with Castle Remodeling was AMAZING! Communicating with them was EASY! Unlike other companies that we tried to reach out to but there never responded. They never left a mess and did a fabulous work installing the cabinets and tile. I know that this was a smaller job for them but they stuck to the exact estimate that they gave us and were always professional.

Due to my bathroom wall structure, I was looking for a customized bathroom Vanity (as it was not available anywhere in any of the local stores). I had spent several hours in visiting all local furniture shops (who claimed to do custom Bathroom/Kitchen stuff), including Lowe's , Home Depot to have custom vanity done but none of them gave me better quote as compared to what I received from Castle Remodeling team (Irene and Yuval). HomeDepot and Lowe's were charging almost $100 to just visit my home and give me estimate but Castle team did it for free!. Also, most of local furniture shops in Simi Valley considered this as a "small job" and have not entertain my request at all (surprisingly!). I, therefore decided not to shop any more local place and went outside of Simi Valley i.e Thousand Oaks, Westlake village etc ...I was just lucky to get first positive response within few minutes of posting my query to their website and after that, all went so smooth, including getting estimate, getting measurements of the wall, completing the job on-time and further, they helped me to install two huge mirrors on the wall (for free). For which (just to install mirrors back), one of Simi Valley local shop gave me estimate of $350..whereas , with help of Castle Remodeling team, I was able to get it done in less than $50. I strongly recommend Castle Remodeling team to all who are reading this. Yuval and Irena are very professional and have in-depth knowledge of their job..and more than that, they are honest with their work.

The cost of a room addition depends on the size and complexity of your renovation project and also the materials that you want to use. On average, a room addition costs between $80 to $300 per square foot. If you want to get a better idea of how much your room addition will cost reach out to one of our team members so you can schedule a free consultation.
First, you have to work with a contractor to develop the plans and make sure the design is to your specifications and complete liking. Then, you have to get all the paperwork in order such as permits, financing, and so on. After that, it comes the construction that it can greatly vary depending on the size and complexity of your project.
Most general contractors have worked on a range of renovation projects, but home additions tend to be the exception. Additions require exceptional skills, technique, and materials to be completed correctly. If you’re investing in a major renovation project, you want to make sure that you’re getting quality work with an experienced professional. Be sure to ask your contractor how many home additions they’ve performed in the past year—and the past five years. You should also request a portfolio of their work so you can see the quality of the project outcome.
The reason bathroom remodeling costs tend to skew toward labor and expenses is the prevalence of bathroom flooring and shower tile. Even the size of the tile will play a role in the cost breakdown of your new bathroom floor. Smaller tiles may cost less from the manufacturer but will require more labor to install.
You may be able to DIY the project, but you must set limits for yourself. It's easy to say you want a larger house or building and believe it will just take some time and hard work; however, one needs to consider whether these things are affordable before they rush into them headfirst.
You’ll want to think about where your home has room to grow (out or up) and how the new addition will flow with the rest of the home. There are a few key things to consider when you’re identifying the best location for a home addition. Be sure to identify your property lines and think about the shape and structure of your pre-addition home. You’ll also want to take note of where your utilities are located and the natural—and planned—landscaping.
In order to build a room addition, you must first determine the location of your new square footage. For instance, if you're wanting more living space in your home but don't have any spare land for building outwards on or adding an upper level (or both), then it may make sense to consider installing another floor within the footprint of your existing structure instead. This can be done by raising up one side and filling in with concrete as needed - essentially creating steps that will lead into what's now become "the basement". You'll need help from friends/family members who are also handy at construction work because this is no easy job!
When you remodel your kitchen, you'll have the opportunity to replace old and outdated appliances with new, energy-efficient models. ... Older kitchens with poor layouts or outdated appliances will not do much to attract potential buyers. Upgrading your kitchen to a more modern design will help increase your home's value.
A more efficient bathroom will save you money in the long run and reduce strain on the environment. Remodeling the bathroom gives you the chance to replace the old inefficient pipes and fixtures that save on the electricity bills and curb water usage.
Once you have your creative juices flowing about your project, consider what you’re hoping to achieve with your addition. Are you trying to add more space to your home? Do you want to add on a specific kind of room? What can you add to your home to better serve your family? Some popular types of home additions are kitchens, master bedrooms, master baths, storage rooms, family rooms or great rooms, bedrooms, guest wings or mudrooms. You may also consider an unattached home addition such as a pool house, guest house, garage, barn, greenhouse or conservatory. If you’re looking to add more space to your home, consider a bump out, sunroom, or garage conversion.
Home improvements on a personal residence are generally not tax-deductible for federal income taxes. However, installing energy-efficient equipment on your property may qualify you for a tax credit, and renovations to a home for medical purposes may qualify as a tax-deductible medical expense.

If you're planning to sell your home, investing in an upgraded kitchen can have big payoffs. ... If demand is high, the home will be viewed as a blank canvas, and it will still sell fast. If demand is low, you want potential buyers to be able to envision themselves living in your home as-is, so renovations may be worth it.
You should always think of a room addition as if you’re building a mini-house. This type of construction will require foundation, framing, zoning, flooring, plumbing, heating and cooling, as well as electricity. Thus, you should always be sure you are ready to take on a project of this magnitude before you begin.
The highest quality home additions fit into the existing structure seamlessly—which is why it’s so important to ask about your contractor’s strategy to create a harmonious look. They should consider the overall architecture of your existing home and plan to use similar building materials to maintain consistency. Be sure that their plan takes the roofline, windows, utilities, finish materials, and overall style into consideration from the start. Keep in mind that it’s important to establish a project strategy well in advance. Rushing a home addition risks lower quality work, and when it comes to creating a seamless look, it’s better to take the time to do it correctly.

Full kitchen renovations that include changes in plumbing and electrical service locations, along with all new appliances, products, and finishes, can take anywhere between 3 to 5 months, depending on the size and complexity of the kitchen.
When you think about adding on a room addition, the first thing that pops into your head is how to manage finances. However, if it's something you desire and want for yourself or family members then there are some ways to make this project feasible even when financial shortages arise. You can take out loans from banks at reasonable rates which may be lower than what other individuals would charge with high-interests; get cashback as part of an insurance settlement; use savings accounts, while still saving money in them until they have reached sizeable amounts (this will also help avoid tax penalties); look for opportunities such as skip days work so expenses do not exceed income levels by too much each month thus providing.
While the all-white kitchen will probably never go out of style, there are lots of new design trends for 2022 that will make you equally happy. Think natural elements with some pops of color as well as a visit to the dark side with colors you might never expect.
A room addition will provide that much-wanted space you were looking for. Room additions are a much affordable alternative than moving, not to mention they will increase your home’s visual appeal and value. On top of that, you can expect a 60% to 90% return on your investment if your addition has some plumbing work.

Whether it's a small bump-out addition with a remodel, or a full-blown addition project, house additions are investments. If you do not plan on moving from the home, you have more incentive to make it yours. The value you receive from a new room or a second story can be enjoyed for many years to come. However, if you may sell the house in the future, you need to think about the resale value. Make sure the add on is cost-effective. If the value of your home increases with a tasteful addition, investing in your home could have a high return on investment. Consider these three questions before adding on to your home.
In addition to adding more space to your home, these new builds add to the resale value of your home. While you may not recoup the entire cost of the project, adding a new garage can add around $40,000 to the resale value of your home depending on your region.

Wood flooring is not usually recommended for kitchens. That said, it’s still a very popular choice. If it works visually, go ahead and use it especially if you are opening the kitchen into an adjacent space with wood flooring. Because the kitchen is a high traffic area, the finish will wear off a wood floor more quickly than in other low traffic parts of your home and will need to be refinished periodically. Also, because there is plumbing in a kitchen, wood floors are at risk for water damage. A tile floor is more resistant to leaks and humidity.
