A short, curvy drive up to an amazing experience! Bring water and snacks, sunscreen and hats and climb the rocks to see an amazing view! $10 per car.

We enjoyed very much this part of Mount Diablo. The kids had a lot of fun climbing on the rocks and walking. Unfortunately there's a lot of people that are disrespectful of mother nature and there's many carvings in the walls and graffitis. :( PLEASE be respectful while visiting your parks and leave no trace! Thank you!

Such a fun and easy trail to do with kids. We loved hiking and wandering around. Be careful with poison oak, and bring a water bottle! We had a lovely lunch picnic, there are various places along the road to stop and enjoy the views and have lunch.

The rock formations and trails make this place a wonderful adventurous experience. There are numerous picnic tables and stove available. Parking spaces are abundant. However, since this is located within Mt. Diablo state park, there is a $10 fee for cars that you pay when you first enter the state park.

Drive slow. It's steep and windy. And don't pass bicyclists until you can see it's safe with lots of room to do so.
Mt diablo a general policy (which might require a bit of interpretation), "Dogs are allowed only in developed areas of the park. They must be kept on a leash during the day and in an enclosed vehicle or tent at night. Dogs are NOT permitted on trails, fire roads or in park buildings."
There are parking lots on site. $10 allows you to stay as long as you like, until closing of course. Go early, I'd recommend; on a nice day the parking spots fill quick
