I had a great time. I was a little apprehensive about taking the class as I was afraid of my gun--always have shot a 357 with 38 light loads and now I'm shooting a 9MM--recoil is much different and the gun is much louder!! Sandy was amazing!! Solved the problem I was having with my left hand leaving the grip and I ended up shooting about 170 rounds!! So I can say I'm not afraid of my gun!! She challenged me and made it fun--corrected me when I needed it and challenged me even more!! I did things I never thought I could do this early (I have only had this gun a couple of weeks). I'm looking forward to taking additional classes with her!!! I'm so glad I took this class.

We had a great time, my son and I. Very informative and fun class, we took the beginner handgun class. Knowledgeable, and great staff, Steve is a great instructor... My kind of sense of humor too. We will be back for the intermediate class for sure. Definitely worth it..... If you're on the fence, go for it!

I took the Basic Handgun Training class in January. As a total beginner to handguns, the instructor was informative and knowledgeable about everything and kept the class very engaging. He gave me all the information needed to pass and receive the Firearms Safety Certificate, which I immediately followed the class. The classroom experience was so enjoyable that I immediately went out and purchased my first firearm and signed up for the ladies' class at the range with Sandy. It was a small class that ensured that we all got the individualized attention we needed to practice with our own firearms. I will definitely be taking another course to improve my skills, and I can't wait to learn more.

I took the women’s basic handgun class with Sandy and it was GREAT! Informative and fun. If you are considering it, I would definitely recommend taking the class. I have always been nervous around guns and about handling guns, but Sandy made me feel safe. I came away from the class with a better knowledge of how guns work which has eased a lot of my anxiety about guns. Most of my anxiety was from not understanding how they function. We spent time in the classroom learning the safety rules, how guns work, form, etc. After the classroom portion we went to the range to try it out. Sandy keeps the class small so she is able to spend one on one time with each woman. Everyone gets their own target that you can take home after class. Sandy will help you with your form and work with any individual needs you may have. I really appreciate that this is a women only class. I think part of my nervousness of going to a shooting range was that I assumed it would be mostly men and as a woman it can be intimidating to go to a place that is male dominated. I also really appreciate having a teacher who is female and takes into consideration our “lady strength.” :) I highly recommend this class and if you are on the fence, go for it!
