We just went fishing with the kids for the afternoon. Had a lot of fun. And there was a lot to go to. We caught fish and frogs and saw tons of turtles. The people we got the annual permit from were awesome and helpful. And he was very nice and told us where we could catch some fish. The bathroom at the main place was nice and clean. There was hardly anyone there when we went though. It was a Tuesday afternoon.

My family and I went here last Friday and overall, it’s a really pretty place, nice scenery and lots of trees plus plants. The sunset at the beach was also very nice. However, the “toilet” at our campsite area should not be considered a toilet, I think it would be classified as a bowl shaped like a toilet infested with several diseases. I’m not being dramatic when I say this either, it smelled horrible in there, there’s no sink, no lighting, it’s unflushable, and the seat is just as bad as the inside of it. Honestly, you’d be better off bringing a bucket to do your business in if you get stuck in the campsite my family and I were in. The showers near lake 4 also cost 50 cents for three minutes and there was dead bugs in there. Also, I recommend you pick a day to stay where they aren’t busy because you’d be surprised at how many people are staying up until 2 am to talk, lots of cars are also moving around during night so expect flashing lights illuminating your tent. 2 stars for the scenery.

Great fun with family. Ice Cream stand and plenty of fishing areas. Can not say anything negative about the campgrounds itself. Had a great time and my boys pulled in a ton of bluegill and a few cat. I will say the showers were pretty gross. If you are getting low on water in the rv just take a wash off in the lake to skip the grimy showers and slimy floors of the wash house. Besides that this park is a 9 out 10.

We've gone camping here a few times and had a fantastic experience every time! Plenty of fish, good swimming spots and places to canoe too. Easy in and out, friendly people and not a far drive from Omaha. I do recommend bringing bug spray and you're own fire wood.
