The Petaluma station itself is nice, with the historic station building being a visitor center. As for the train, it’s definitely worth a ride — it’s fast and pleasant, and also has a snack/bar car which is the most important part.

Nearest cafe is Petaluma coffee company about 3 blocks west on D Street. They also have bulk coffee for sale that is fantastic at reasonable prices!

Very close. 5 minute walk, sidewalks whole way.

Is there a passenger drop off or pick up area or do you just pull into the parking area?

A small parking lot is next to the depot. Be careful of which way you enter the lot.
