I would give 0 stars if I could. The woman helping me was completely rude from the moment she looked at me. She wouldn't even hear anything I was trying to say. She was completely wrong about what I needed to do because she wouldn't listen. She made me go to bend even though I could have got my stuff done that day. I took all the exact same documents to bend and was done in less than an hour. Before I went to lapine DMV, I was told by the bend DMV what I needed and she told me I was wrong because I ,"didn't ask the right questions, and you have to ask the right questions to get the right answer." DMV employees are supposed to be upfront about what you need to bring and they were, but she was wrong and really just plain rude about it.

Slow and rude. I waited about two hours and after calling my number they noticed it was 4:01pm so they refused to help me. They only have two staff. They lock the doors so you can't even get to the paperwork you need to fill out. So just a take a number and leave like nine out of ten people who just give up on waiting for the La Pine DMV. Wish I just left too.

I can tell you exactly what it cost me last week registering a South Dakota car. $93 title, $112 registration (2yrs), $24.50 license plates, $7 vin check. Grand total, $236.50. la pine DMV only open on Thursdays. Hope this helps.

They provide written knowledge testing for a regular class C test only. They do not do behind the wheel drive exams at this office. The nearest one that provides this is in Bend.
