Excellent selection for all ages & interests, but more important is the support staff. The reference desk has helped me locate pretty arcane books at other CT libraries with great efficiency. The hands-on programs for kids are engaging. And there always seems to be some kind of program (exhibits, lectures, activities) for adults. Come in and check it out!!

We love our library. We’ve been coming for the past 16 yrs and 3 kids later. The staff is great, the children’s library is fun, programs are diverse and let’s not forget all the reading challenges. Any issues or problems are addressed quickly and professionally. Are there teeny boppers there? Yes for some of you with objections. The teen library is great. Again, any issues with loudness or rudeness are addressed quickly. I love the changes and updates to the facilities and the kindle/tech aspect as well.

State of the art library with a section for a quiet atmosphere to read and do research. Excellent WI-Fi, with terrific speed. The men's bathroom was very clean and the overall Library was clean. Thank you to the team at the Groton Library!

The Groton Library is one of the best libraries in the region because of it's activity in the community, and significantly larger catalogue of movies, books, and music than the surrounding towns. Due to generous backing, there is a varienty of programs for youth and adult sponsored there. The complex itself is spacious, and architecturally pleasing. Meeting rooms and children-teen sections are available during the day as well a public computer section and information kiosks. Useful tip, so long as you have a CT library card you can check out books at any library (at least in this region).

We do have IRS tax Booklets and 1040 forms. They are located outside our library entrance in labeled lockers. Please note: CT tax booklets will no longer be supplied by the state. There is a form with pertinent information located in one of the lockers labeled "CT Tax Information". For additional forms please visit www.irs.gov and https://portal.ct.gov/DRS/DRS-Forms/Current-Year-Forms/Individual-Income-Tax-Forms
Yes there is a books drop box as well as a media drop box directly across from the painted walkway.
