If Frederick Johnson (say he does loan through this company Smart Biz Loans USA - charges $249 application fee and $499 evaulation fees-) is the contact person or person associated with getting a loan from this company he's associated with another company Ace Loans LLC/ James Bonadies ( This guy took $975 from me as an application fee then request $2400+ for a collateral fee for a small biz loan) and refused to return my money after I informed him that I didn't want to proceed with a loan because their company had lied initially saying there weren't any upfront fees for their loan.. These people are scammers. Do not send them any money. They are scammers.

UPDATE- After connecting with executives on Linked In, we were able to resolve this issue within days. ORIGINAL-Completely unresponsive and unable to correct errors on our PPP loan which was approved over 2 months ago. Numerous bugs in the online app. We have called and emailed support, our Rep and everyone else in the email chains, but zero results.

I would give a rating of ZERO stars if I could. They are a horrible company. I applied for a PPP loan & they would not answer the phone or respond to emails. They didn't post any information regarding loan status via the application portal for MONTHS. I found a legit lender but because Smartbiz would not respond & would not withdraw my application, I lost out. When they finally started taking phone calls I called them & was hung up on when I inquired why they never returned a single email. Very unprofessional. I disagree with another reviewer's comment that the loan declination must be due to "unorganized entity structure." I have used my same "unorganized entity structure" for a different successful loan yet received the same response as others: "Improper guarantor identity authentication. Application not approved due to indications of ineligibility." I emailed them in December to give them an opportunity to address my discontent and (shocker), no response. Pay attention to those negative reviews.

Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Hard to speak with some one. Even though I would recieved automated emails concerning my PPP application, I still had questions. The emails were generic and didn't have any info....my status was pending for 3.5 months. And when you could no longer apply that's when I receive the denial email. When I reached out for details no one and mean no one was available. Also I sent an appeal but once again crickets. Have a legit business with all the the required paperwork and was denied, yet folks was running around here with fake non-existing businesses getting approved fore 100s of thousands...please make that make sense

What ever happened because same thing happening to me now. But they said I'm not allowed to update bank info. Said I'd have to cancel app and start again which obviously ain't gonna happen this late in the game

Because of the increased rate of fraudulent applications received with PPP, the bank requested an enhanced identification verification process and manual reviews. Unfortunately, your application did not pass the bank requirements. As a result, we were unable to process your application further. SmartBiz is a service provider to banks and does not define the lending requirements or make the final lending decision. The bank specifies the qualification requirements potential customers need to meet, and the required documentation, customer identity validation and the number and types of checks for identifying potentially fraudulent applications. We are sorry we could not assist you with this financing.

Jim I was in the same situation. It just took waiting for the papers to come or the email to sign. Customer service was no help. Make sure you are using the right email. That is the biggest issue facing most.
