The only decent thing about this motel was the worker at the front desk, she was very nice and friendly. She even asked if we wanted a non-smoking room, because AFTER I made the reservation it gives you a smoking room! GROSS! Yes- they still have them. I was very appreciative she asked if we wanted a different room beforehand. Our room still smelled horrible though. The balcony was so gross. The bathroom had unknown stains everywhere, the paint was chipped and so dirty. The microwave and fridge didn't even work. The beds were OK, I didn't expect much. The pillows were so old and flat. There were people slamming doors alllll morning at 6 AM. It was unnerving. I've stayed there multiple times years ago and I am very disappointed how bad it's gotten. Don't let the bright pictures fool you.

I wish I would have read the reviews before we stayed here .. The lady at the front desk was somewhat helpful but I still walked out disappointed .. Then when we get to our room it smelled like urine and there were burn holes in our blanket but we were in a non smoking room ? Also while we were trying to sleep someone was trying to get into our room because they were so intoxicated they didn't realize they had the wrong room.. and to top it all off while we were trying to sleep in there was so much noise we were woken up super early after being up all night listening to a drunk trying to get in our room we took a trip up to Geneva for our ten year anniversary and chose to stay here because we wanted to start or mini trip a day early this was a total disappointment and I'll definitely think before I pick motel 6 again especially this location!

If you're sensitive to smells, it's best to avoid this Motel 6. Yeah, the price is minimal but walking into this building you're greeted by an overwhelming smell combination of smoke and mildew. I thought I would receive some relief when I entered my non-smoking room, but the smell only continued. The room was clean but with the smell and overall atmosphere of the place, it just made me feel dirty. I have no complaints about the bed or the sheets. If you're low maintenance and can handle your smells this might be a good option for you. It is also pet friendly, which is great for pet owners. A lady holding a black cat waved at me from a window when we pulled into the parking lot and that was the best part of my stay.
