Ray and Brent did a great job. I thought I smelled gas, and they immediately came out and fixed the leak. Every experience I’ve ever had from installation of heating and air conditioning, even suggesting dual zone heating to heat one part of my home at a time, saving money each month was pleasant and easy. The staff is great as are the technicians. You couldn’t ask for a better company for all your heating and air conditioning needs.

Loved the response time and quickness in which I was able to schedule them to come out to fix our AC. Less than 24 hours from first contact. Marvic (our technician) was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He found what was wrong with our AC and fixed it within a short period of time. In addition, he found another part that could go bad soon since it was an original part (over 20 years old) and gave us options on whether to replace or wait. No pressure whatsoever. The cost to replace parts and fix our AC was discounted if we became members... which makes sense as they will now come out every 6 months and inspect etc... both our AC and heater. Love that they have that option. I will definitely use this business again and highly recommend them.

"Professor" Chuck Anderson (who teaches HVAC courses) visited our home and interviewed us. He explained the pros and cons of different approaches and after listening to our requirements and answering all our questions he quoted us a complete Lennox HVAC system (AC and gas furnace) that was exactly what we wanted. He had all the equipment in stock and his team (Hung and Emanuel) arrived on time on the day of installation (and finished quickly). They were friendly, enthusiastic, and very professional and knowledgeable (thank you prof. chuck!). They laid down floor protection (it was raining that day), cleaned up when they were finished, and did not leave a single scrap of material (or any of the old AC or furnace or filters) behind. We were able to schedule installation very quickly (Chuck would have done it next day!) on a day that was convenient for us. The installation Hung performed was really a work of art and he was able to explain all the new features that would be up to the latest code standards. We also received new electrical hardwiring of the furnace, new gas pipe work (for the furnace), new condensate plumbing, and new through the wall wiring to a new thermostat. We also got a sturdy new pad for the outside AC unit. The unit fit perfectly in our small utility closet and the outside AC unit was positioned perfectly in our very small backyard (all new electrical hookup panel provided). Payment of the bill was made very efficient and convenient for us. System is very quiet, as promised. Emanuel worked inside our very crowded home and was able to reach all our high ventilation ducts that he carefully sealed in preparation for our upcoming city home inspection of ventilation efficiency (which Perfect Star sets up for us). Chuck trains his team well and gives them a very effective pep talk every morning (I might start attending his pep talks!). It really shows in the final service and product. I was also happy to hear that they have a shop where they can tear down all the large metal parts of my old system and recycle them. It was really a big load of old equipment that they disposed of/recycled for us. I was especially pleased that sales tax was included in the quote and the final payment matched the initial quote exactly. It is nice to have such a quality company in the neighborhood.

Perfect Star Heating and Air Conditioning sent Enrique over to provide recommendations and a quotation for upgrading an existing home system. I am very impressed by his knowledge and patience - he took the time to listen to my expectations and understand what I need, provided a thorough analysis of the current system capability, including a detailed assessment of the ducting, and offered multiple solutions to achieve the ultimate goal. He was personable, knowledgeable and thorough...an excellent representative of Perfect Star Heating and Air Conditioning. I am looking forward to taking the next step with this company.

Yes, this is normal. A heat pump generally produces air that is 80°, which is considered warm and will heat the house evenly. However, 80° may feel cool to your hand, which is usually closer to 90°.
You should have maintenance done on your air conditioning system twice a year. This not only ensures maximum efficiency but also enables us to foresee any possible problems that may occur shortly.
Changing out your air filter regularly is the primary maintenance you can perform. When talking about ground mounted outdoor units the units will need to be kept clear of debris, which includes any foliage in the area. Additional maintenance should only be performed by qualified personnel.
For peak efficiency, performance and filtration, it is recommended that you replace your disposable filters at least once a month. If you have washable filters, they should be cleaned once a month.
In general, no. HVAC systems are the least efficient when first turning on. A system with too much capacity will run in numerous short cycles, turning on and off repeatedly, therefore causing it to be less efficient and increasing energy consumption. Another primary function of an air conditioner is to remove humidity from the air and running shorter cycles doesn’t remove humidity from the air very well.
As a consumer the most important tasks you can perform involve cleaning and replacement of your filters regularly. Also, shades, drapes, shutters, or screens can be installed on windows that are exposed to extreme sunlight to help reduce temperatures as well.
HVAC systems use a metric called S.E.E.R. (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) when assessing efficiency. S.E.E.R. is the amount of cooling your system will deliver per dollar spent on electricity. For example, a 3-ton unit may have a S.E.E.R. efficiency rating of 13, 14, or 15. The higher the S.E.E.R., which ranges from 13 -17, the more efficient the system will be.
In general, one (1) ton of air conditioning can cool anywhere from 300 to 800 square feet of home. The primary factor impacting the effectiveness of an AC unit is the construction of your home. The best way to assess your home's needs is to have a licensed professional evaluate them.
Heating and cooling systems are sized according to their tonnage. One (1) ton equals 12,000 BTU/H (British Thermal Units/ Hour).
HVAC is short for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. The acronym is often used as an abbreviation to refer to your whole heating and cooling system.
