I've been coming here sporadically for a few years and was surprised to see the improvements made this year! There are two brand new paved parking lots but still no swimming access. There is also a bathroom facility but didn't walk over to check it out. Good place to walk the beach for rocks and sea glass but unsure as to why there is so much parking for a beach you aren't allowed to swim at?? Perhaps they will allow it in the future but I don't see myself returning any time soon.

First time visiting a Great Lake. Beautiful sunset!

New parking lot. Clean space. In prestine condition. Beach unfortunately isn't the most ideal. Rocks and branches and pebbles and stones make it very uncomfortable. Lakes beautiful.

Really nice and peaceful. They're fixing it up really nice, there's a walkway from the back by the beach to Lakeshore road that is really pretty. Took my 3 year olds and they really enjoyed it, they were able to walk the whole nature trail part. But if you want to get more exercise, you can walk through the whole park, not a ton of shade in that part so wear sunscreen!

I don't see why not! I've seen plenty and I've even seen horses in the water! Take him and let him have some fun and exercise as long as u stay responsible.
I've seen a few people out here with GPR devices at the beach over the last 10 years.
I believe signs "No Swimming " are due to liability. Swim at your own risk.
Erie county owns it.
