Woodlawn Beach State Park & Sole At Woodlawn Beach

So, I feel like the title of Sole at Woodlawn Beach for the whole of the state park at Woodlawn is really deceptive. I have never (and have no future plans or desire to) patronized the bar that leases the food concession at the park, and only come for the beach and park grounds. That said, the beach is a huge expanse of really good sand, with dunes, a swimming area, and picnicing areas. It's a fabulous beach, only 10 minutes from downtown Buffalo, and it's never really too crowded.

Just recently had my son's high school graduation at The Lodge. I cannot say enough about the venue. Location was great and easily accessible by guests. Food was outstanding. Access to the beach for photos was an obvious plus. Caterers were flexible and accommodating.

It was a good time over all! Beach needs a bit of TLC, for sure( trash on the one part of the beach)Went this past Sunday. It was nice all day. The sun started to set and that's when it started getting a bit rowdy. I was there with my son so as soon as the vibes started to switch up we left. Turns out an hour later someone was stabbed 😞 just be cautious.....you never know !

Such an amazing Beach even this time of the year - wide swath of sand from the dunes to the lake. Amazing views of the city the wind turbines and Canada - then the tremendous you over the lake and further south to Hamburg & beyond
