Very nice, well maintained campground. Large sites. Owners are very nice to talk to. Would stay again if in the area.

We are not fans of large commercialized campgrounds. A recent trip to Asheville, NC reinforced this dislike. KOA Journey is definitely an exception to this rule. The facility was really nice and the staff super friendly. If you are going to be in the Meadville area I recommend staying at this campground.

We discovered this campground over 10 years ago and it's one of our favorites. The new owners are top notch and are doing an excellent job of keeping the campground in great shape. We were pleasantly surprised this trip to find that the activities for the kids are all included with the stay now. We'll be going back again and again.

Catch and release
No. They won't let you fish if you are not camping
Not positive on exact price
Dear Dan; sorry, but no, we close October 20, 2019. We have 13 primitive tenting sites (fire ring and picnic table). And, we have 23 water and electric sites for tent camping. We have 4 cabins. 2 are deluxe, full service cabins; and we have two more primitive cabins. One has a kitchenette, but no restroom, and one is a camping cabin with just beds and a table. We have catch and release fishing (no license required), a pool, and we ahve themed weekend activities, and we have lots of outdoor recreation like Ga-ga ball, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and a hiking trail. We're located just 7 miles outside of Meadville. We're 5 miles from the Erie Wildlife Refuge, 40 miles from Lake Erie and Presque Isle, 30 miles from the Pymatuning Spillway. Please call us at 814-789-3251 if you'd like to make a reservation. Or, you can book online on our website!
I'm pretty sure that there might be one or 2 contact the owners and you can find out your welcome
Yes we do. In the summer season they are $43/night on Friday and Saturday nights, and are $38/night Sunday - Thursday for up to 2 adults and 2 children. Extra adults, or extra children are an extra free, except children 4 & under. They are at no charge. You are allowed 1 large tent, and a second "pup" tent ( i.e. 2 person tent) for the children to sleep in, should they opt to. Children are ages 5-17. 18 & over are considered adults.
No golf carts, insurance reasons. They offer organized activities on weekends plus open during week is the pool, horseshoes, mini golf, jumping pillow, pedal cars. Check out the website on them. Im a seasonal and love meeting up with my neighbors, new and seasonal.
