I walked in at 3:15 pm. Google showed the place as open. I step into the restaurant, the door is unlocked, there are no closed signs hanging from the door. I gingerly let myself in, there is no one to seat me. I walk in a bit further, a lady is sat at one of the tables, she looks up at me bewildered. I ask her if she is the owner, or if she works here. She ignores my question, ask "what do you want?". I say I am here to get some food. She looks at me skeptically, I stare back pleasantly. She reluctantly gets up, hollers. A guy comes along to seat me. I ask to be sat at a sofa. He says that that's for big parties. I point out that the entire place is empty. He reluctantly allows me a seat at the sofa. I order korma, and naan. 30$ lunch (with tips) for a single person. That ain't cheap in my book. All through the meal the lady and another gentleman keep walking around the dining room, talking loudly on their phones. I gather some state inspector is coming around shortly, and they are discussing the matter. After paying, I get up to leave. They stop me from leaving by the front door, and usher me out the back! I feebly protest that my car is parked at the front, they firmly insist that it's okay. Overall, really unprofessional behavior. If you don't think you can offer professional service, just close the shop after 2:30pm. The food was pretty standard.

This is a Indian Buffet place in Stamford. Went to this place to try their buffet as most of the restaurants have stopped the buffet service after the COVID times. The spread was decent for Veg and Non-Veg. The starters were good but the mains and the dessert was disappointing. The buffet costs $22 per person.

We like the food at Tawa. We used to go to Tangra Biryani (TB) across the street from Tawa particularly for their curry goat. Once TB closed (which we didn't know why at the time), we began to check out Tawa and fell in love with the place. Come to find out month later that TB and Tawa had merged businesses, so now our favorites were all in one place. We haven't been disappointed with the food nor the staff whom with open arms always greet us with warm welcomes and conversation. We enjoy our time everytime we eat here. Our favorites and what we pretty much stick to: 1. Curry goat 2. Saag Paneer 3. Chicken Tikka (which is like a grilled chicken with no sauce) 4. Chiken Tikka Masala sauce (we usually just put sauce in a bowl minus the chicken that's in it and dip, dip, dip away!) 5. Tandoori chicken 6. Biryani rice
