I have a Pacemaker and defibrillator put in my chest early July at sulpizio Cardio vascular center the doctors and the staff were excellent the procedure went really nice.The care I got from them is outstanding.i stayed overnight at the hospital, UCSD LaJolla center, were Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center is part of. My Doctor, Dr. Green is well accomplished and the head of the I C D department at UCSD, and she really cares about my wellbeing, I'm greatful to have her as my surgeon.

These are the best doctors! I traveled to San Diego from Eugene, OR to have leads extracted! It was the most safe and easiest surgery on me that I had ever had! I would go there again for heart surgery or treatment! I have complete confidence in these doctors and anesthesiologists!

I was very fortunate to be a patient at Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center. As with previous reviews posted, I am 200% and more agree to what they had to say. As a patient, the doctors, nursing staff, and support staff were wonderful and considerate making my stay very comfortable. I almost forgot why I was in there. My family were welcomed and treated wonderfully. They are amazing and am happy that I chose a great provider for my medical needs.

Where is the answer??
There are several within 5 mi. However they are all expensive $150+ a night. Expended stay Sorento is about 5 mi and was $99

They also have an Extended Stay America in Mira Mesa which a 10 minute drive. The rooms there have a bathroom, full kitchen with fridge, stove, toaster, coffe pot and microwave, and easy chair, and either 2 queen beds or one king. You get a discount if you mention you are there for the hospital. I recommend this as it is private and a good way for family to get away from the hospital. The longer you stay the cheaper it is. And we rented a car for 3 weeks and the cost for the car was less than 500 for that time. I highly recomend this as it was a way for my family to get a break from the hospital and feel normal. I was at Sulpizio for PTE surgery and those people are the absolute best. You couldnt find a better team in any hospital in this world.
Short answer is NO! They will deliver to your room when being discharged from the hospital
You need to talk to social services. Heart transplants are covered under catastrophic care.
