I had a truly remarkable experience working with this ketamine clinic. I had read a lot online about how intense and otherworldly ketamine experiences can be. After reading lot of other people's accounts, I realized that I would likely want to do some integration work after my experience. This is why I chose CCKT. I know that they specialize in integrating the experience. I was apprehensive before my session. I wondered if it would be overwhelming and if I would get the healing that I was seeking. As soon as I arrived inside the clinic, my worry began to subside. It's a beautiful location in a converted mid-century home. Soon I was sitting on a comfortable sofa, speaking with their team that included a psychiatrist MD and clinical therapist. They explained everything to me a listened carefully to the concerns I shared. Once we all agreed that I was ready for the experience, the doctor administered the medicine. I lay on the couch with eye shades on for about 45 minutes of deep introspection, while I listened to calm, inspirational music. As my experience waned, the therapist let me know that I could take off my eye shades when I was ready. After I opened my eyes and oriented to the room, we talked for awhile about my experience and what it might mean in the context of my life. I made some notes in my notebook from our conversation that I continue to reflect back on as the lessons from my experience continue to unfold. Ketamine is a powerful medicine. I'm glad that I chose to utilize it in this therapeutic context to help me through this difficult time. I also pleased that I chose to work with the team at CCKT, as I feel they've helped me to maximize the benefit from ketamine therapy.
