Beautiful clean beach in jersey. The restrooms were clean as well. There's a playground on the beach for the kiddos as well and boardwalk. There just isn't any food or attractions on boardwalk. You would have to go in town. Overall nice clean peaceful beach

Had a nice time on the Avon Beach. Water was cold but very clean. It cost $12 per person to get on the Beach. Did some Metal Detecting and playing with my Zoom Binoculars.

Of course, this is a small beach but don’t be too quick to overlook this quaint beach town for its rowdier southern neighbor, Belmar. Clean beach, prices, playground for kids -it's all there. Boardwalk: Avon’s three-quarter-mile boardwalk was restored after Hurricane Sandy and it's small and beautiful. No Dogs are allowed on the boardwalk. Grey decking, towering lampposts, and seafoam blue benches, it’s well-maintained boardwalks on the Jersey Shore. Avon Pavilion is a very famous restaurant around here so have a bite over there. The Columns: This Victorian mansion-turned restaurant/club is the heart of nightlife in Avon.

This is a nice beach, but I like a beach that has a longer boardwalk so you can enjoy a good run or walk with the beautiful scenic ocean view. The boardwalk is an old-fashioned style and has ball shaped lights for your evening enjoyment. The beach closest to the Shark River Inlet is called the "L" jetty and is popular for its good surf. You can also fish off the inlet jetty. They have a playground for the children and a snack stand, but there are no arcades. Dogs are allowed on the beach from Oct.1 - May 1.
