Giving 2 stars instead of 1 since the entire experience wasn't unpleasant. My husband has been to the landfill 2 times, and both times was treated poorly by the lady in the front. She is downright rude and unhelpful and speaks to you like you are dumb. From what I see, we aren't the only ones who have experienced this. I've never written a negative review and usually we give some slack since people have bad days. But this type of customer service is unacceptable in any business! HOWEVER, the gentlemen that we've dealt with in the back have been great and the place itself seems organized.

It's been a while since I last went, so I decided to call ahead and ask some questions. The guy that answered the phone was the nicest, most knowledgeable person you could hope to talk to. He told me many useful things, such as: Yard waste is free, take motor oil, antifreeze and tires are on a sliding scale but, they take them. They don't take electronics, but Goodwill recycles broken electronics. Fred meyers will take your plastic grocery bags at a bin at the front door. The giant bins at Up Town take milk jugs and cardboard, among other things. He answered literally everything I could think of and then listed a few more. It was great. I'm actually looking forward to going, oddly enough. Last time I went was a few years ago, and it was fine. Everyone was nice, it was straight forward.

The women up front at the scale are grouchy and rude. The shouldn’t work with people, they should be on a garbage truck not interacting with people. The guy at dump location was very nice and professional.

Front desk lady is a Karen. Poor attitude. Can tell she hates her job. Definitely should be working in a jail rather than customer service.
