Such great workouts with such great people!! I have started going in the early mornings and there truly is a community feel. Suzy and Kim are great and very motivating! They push you to do your personal best without going over the limit. I love it!!

Dear Mr. Lebrun, October 4, 2021 I would like to recognize the outstanding employees on staff at the Walteria Torrance, Orangetheory Fitness. They have become family for all of us. The Sales Staff have the first visible and personal contact with your clients. They convey a professional and recognizable image for Orangetheory. Genuine, efficient with check-in, and friendly. I appreciate the amenities you offer such as ear plugs & hair ties. The appearance of your reception foyer and work out room is clean. Your Sales staff have established a wonderful ambiance when we walk through the entry doors. Sameh, Kyra, Monet, Daovadee, and Desiree The Coaches are equipped with the mental/physical/nutritional/emotional tools for a complete work out. They are helpful to maintain a safe work out for everyone on the floor. Posture, breathing and a caring attitude. They instill an individual purpose and goal for each of us. They take pride in their appearance. Some Coaches have initiated and incorporated their own “style of confidence” which raises the bar for my enthusiasm and personal best. Kimberly, Sara, Gabi, Suzy, Amanda, and Alex. The Assistant Managers have leadership and passion for their position. They have demonstrated that they are capable of making a “command decision” quickly. They are efficient in handling details, helpful when needing information and will investigate to find the correct answer to any problem. As Managers, they have created a “family team” with the other staff members. Christina and Juliana. Your Walteria Team has a “top shelf” level of dedication and commitment to their profession, staff and clients. I had a good experience overall working out here. A couple of coaches like Alex, Amanda and Kim are really nice and always helped motivate the members while working out! However one major issue I had was with a couple of other coaches who were very unfriendly and unwelcoming towards new members such as myself. I had an awful experience working out in Suzy's classes as I found her very rude and hostile towards me on multiple occasions. There was a clear and obvious bias towards old members compared to how she behaved with the new ones. I felt demotivated whenever I had to go to her classes because of her behavior! Adding this here as an FYI for any new member who's gonna join this to be aware of! Other than that, the concept of this is pretty nice to help with overall fitness. But IMO, it could do with a LOT less $ per month/class cause this is super expensive unnecessarily when you get to workout so little.

If you’ve already been doing Orangetheory and become pregnant, check with your doctor first. Our heart rate monitoring is a perfect way to keep an eye on your intensity as you progress through your pregnancy. If you are a few months into your pregnancy and haven’t been doing any sort of fitness training, wait until after you have your baby and we can help get you back into shape!
Absolutely. Our coaches are trained to provide options for each exercise on the floor, in addition to offering a low-impact bike and strider alternative in place of the treadmill for lower body injuries or orthopedic restrictions.
Of course. Orangetheory is geared toward ALL levels of fitness and everyone is free and encouraged to go at their own pace. We recommend trying a free introductory workout, then discussing any thoughts or questions you may have regarding your fitness goals, with your coach.
Splat Points indicate minutes spent in the orange and red zones. Aim for 12 or more Splat Points per class.
Orangetheory is 5 Zone heart rate based interval training using specifically designed and timed interval training blocks. During a workout, members focus on Zones 3, 4 and 5. The workouts are designed to produce 12 minutes or more in Zones 4 & 5 combined (to achieve the after burn) during the treadmill training portion of the workout.
We’ll ask that you arrive no more than 15 minutes before workout and avoid congregating in the lobby.

Our workout room has a variety of equipment including treadmills (bikes and striders as alternatives), WaterRowers, and floor equipment including dumbbells, benches, TRX suspension trainers, medicine balls, BOSU trainers and AB Dollys.
Orangetheory is a 1-hour, full body workout, focused on training to build endurance, strength and power.
