I had been to the Downtowner for the first time years ago, but hadn't reviewed it. Today, I decided to stop by and see if the food was as good today as it was the last time I stopped in for breakfast. I had the two sweet cream pancakes and link sausage with coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed the pancakes, which had a dense consistency and lightly sweet flavor. I also found the sausage links to be good and noticed that they were served in a casing. The coffee wasn't anything special and was so hot that I couldn't drink much of it until I was nearly done with my food. Overall, not a bad breakfast with fairly quick service. If you do go and don't want to sit at the bar, prepare to wait. Tables here are at a premium.

This was our first visit to the Downtowner. Our waitress was only on her second day. It's seat yourself so we went right in and pick our seats. We were greeted almost instantly. Took our orders and brouht drinks immediately the food came quickly and was delicious. Big portions for the price definitely worth it. We got biscuits and gravy sausage, bacon, sausage, pancake, toast and eggs. Everything was superb! We will definitely be back to The Downtowner! Service, food and quality was excellent!
