Long hike to beach. Portapottie before you hike to the beach. No changing rooms or water to rinse off from the beach. Great to find fossils and shells. A little pricey for day use, wouldn't mind the price if bathrooms a little closer and at least be able to rinse off/ change before getting back in car. Nice private beach and nature abound.

We found amazing fossils! The beach was peaceful with lots of space and gentle water. I can't wait to go back! (We just paid for a beach day pass and did not stay in the cabins).

Come enjoy a day of fossil and shell hunting in this quiet, beautiful and historic location. We came for an afternoon walk on the weekend for $10 each, but will be back to book a cabin!

Great out of the way private beach that offers camping and cabins. You can visit the beach on its own if you choose. The road in and out is a bit rough so you may want a vehicle than can deal with rocky and bumpy roads. The beach is a great place to find lots of shells and fossils, the water is a bit murky but there are a few sandbars a ways out. The cabin we stayed in was clean and as expected. The fan string was broken but the owners, who are very nice, accommodated us with an extra rotating fan as most of the cabins are without ac and heat. Be prepared there isn't any hot water in the sinks but there is in the shower and it works fine. The owners were able to assist with a noise issue promptly as there is a 10pm curfew. We did have a slight issue getting the light switches to work properly. It would be nice if the owners could install an outdoor wash off point because the walk back from the beach is sandy. Also the walk to access the beach is quite steep and awkward or uneven. Should someone with a physical handicap want to visit it would be difficult unless there is another way down. After being at the beach for a few hours it was tough to walk back up.

Alcohol is allowed in the cabins, but not on the beach during daylight hours. Cabin guests may drink on the beach after hours. Day visitors may not bring alcohol and must exit by sundown.

From the cabins? A short walk down a hill there's steps on one side and a smooth path on the other.

No pets are allowed. If the animal is a trained service animal, I'd call and ask. However, due to possible allergies of people who use the cabins after you, I would think not.

What is the history of the camp? I remember going to camp here when I was in 6th grade in Janney School in Washington, DC.

It used to be a girl scout camp, but it hasn't been since at least 1985 when we moved here and stayed there for three weeks.
