Just called and the guy was pretty rude immediately cutting me off saying they were full. I asked if he knew of any other rescues and he mumbled something and said have a good day. Someone needs to learn manners especially working with animals

I haven't adopted from there but was involved a couple of times with rescue efforts. Never talked to Burt Ward, only Tracie. UGH!! She saw a dog at our local shelter & wanted it no ifs, ands or buts. She was told dog was a mix which she didn't believe. So myself & a friend drove the dog to meet with her pick up people. Before we even got back home she had called complaining the dog wasn't purebred, duh, she was told. Does anyone know know who to complain to get them investigated for misusing their non-profit status since they are creating designer puppies that are sold for profit it seems due to the outrageous "adoption" fees charged? That whole deal of "having" to feed their dog food to your dog is a scam at best. I feel so bad for the dogs that end up there.

Terrible "rescue!" Burt Ward is not a decent human. He and his wife are Dishonest, rude, and incredibly arrogant. I would only ever suggest adopting a pet from GGR knowing that it's a true rescue, being rescued from a "Rescue." His "dog food" is a joke, seriously. No nutritional value. Those dogs in the picture dont even have bowls and are eating off plastic benches, he has no structure. In actuality it really is No big deal but the amount he brings in because of these dogs, they could at least have elevated stands with bowls, but they'll never see it....He will ignorantly plea for donations and help, and in turn, have nothing to show to these four legged kids a better life while with him. Once you empty your bank account, yes, they will have a better chance to experience true happiness. He will keep terminally Ill pets alive for donations. He will give medicine to mask any illness, and not disclose vet visit, that the pet will fall ill shortly after home and bonded. Please rescue from someone that you think you can trust.

Rescue fees are too much. You can get a purebred puppy for that price. Also, I'm not into being told what food to feed my animals. I sent an application and emailed. 2 weeks later, no response. Rescue elsewhere.
