The sake is terrible. Truly. Thank God for their full bar and wonton nachos. And it's excellent people watching. This place is super unassuming, so much so that I've walked right on by many times and paid it no notice. One night walking by, my friends and I were walking to South Slope and doubled back - the air smelled incredible - and it was coming from Ben's. Inside is huge - there are at least three bars - the inside is also the outside - and there's plenty of room and seating that truly feels like different bars. Dog friendly. The first bartender we got was awesome, friendly and quick. The second bartender could NOT be bothered, and not even in a cool way, just clearly didn't want to be there. We tried the four kinds of sake they had on tap and three different sake-cocktails. Everything was real rough, and we're pretty forgiving drinkers. The flavors ranged from watery to acetone with really only the unfiltered sake being drinkable. One ding for the unreasonably bad sake - and only because it's being pushed so hard - otherwise it's an excellent place to lose a few hours.

The sake tasted amazing!! I especially loved the ginger & lemon infusion -- it literally tasted like Sprite. We ordered some food as well & it was spectacular. The staff is friendly & sweet as well! Highly recommend!

One of the few places on the east coast you can get a Sake flight! It’s a really neat place with a huge indoor and unique and cool outdoor area that lends itself to a fun atmosphere. The service was great and the drinks were good. Did not get a chance to try the food but you can be sure I will be back. The name does not make any sense but don’t hesitate to come here and try the Sake. 5/5. Loved it!

Great spot! So many cool seating areas & good ambiance. Live music some nights. While they make sake, they have a full bar menu! Good apparel if you’re into that, and the bartenders were solid. Definitely on our list to go back!

I doubt it. As this was in the city
Yep. They start checking IDs at the door around 9 iirc
They brew sake but have a full bar
I would guess they thought you were being loud or just didn't like you. I'm not a huge fan.
There isnt much room to dance.
Hey! We love dogs! Almost nothing is restricted- we would let them in the dining room if health Dept allowed it.
Typically the line up changes every other week and artists performing play anywhere from 6 to 12am
