Go there after a rain storm in San Diego (rare) and you maybe treated to a snow hike. Absolutely beautiful. Incredible views and fresh crisp air.

Loved the Cuyamaca Peak via Azalea Glen. There snow and icy patches in some area. The hike going to the peak is step and it’s moderate to difficult. There tables and benches to get some rest or enjoy your snack. Windy and freezing at the top make sure to bring jacket. Such a great hike!

Nice campground with a few trails, it snows here so be ready for that if its been chilly. The Azalea trail was pretty rough to get through because of the snow and all the trees that got blown over. Would not recommend dogs or kids on the Azalea trail at this time.

Great hike! I've hiked this beautiful mountain since I was in diapers and now I'm 49!

Difficulty is 2. Kids can do it; it's just a paved street, but a long one. Take your time and take short breaks. Watch this: https://youtu.be/te_CRQll-pw
