We have been going here since they first opened. Nowadays they are hit and miss. If you can catch them at a slow time the food seems to be good. If you go with a large group or when they are busy the food goes downhill fast. I feel they have a hard time keeping up when things get fast paced. The building and the view over the river are always great. Love to sit on the patio and look out over the river.

My family of 6 have been on vacation in nearby Cumberland Gap. A short drive through the 25E tunnel past Harrogate, we came to Shelly Belle's. We sat out on the porch with a view of Powell River. The tables are large, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere is fun. Our kids loved their kids meals. In fact, the kid meal burger is huge! I enjoyed the Shelly Belle Burger, as my wife enjoyed fried green tomatoes with a horseradish sauce. Out oldest had buffalo wings. The food was delicious and plenty! The place, although rural, was packed and for good reason. If you're in the area, I recommend a visit to Shelly Belle's!

This place is packed for a good reason!! The food is awesome and the portions are exceedingly more than expected. The staff are excellent, and the kayaking is very nice. We have lots of fun here. Our church comes every year it’s a lot of fun for the kids and adults, everyone always has a great time. The pork nachos are my favorite

Such a wonderful and friendly place to eat! The food is delicious, the staff is top notch, and the atmosphere is so relaxing especially out on the patio right next to the river. The place really does a great job of making you feel right at home. They're still working out some things and I really wish the staff and management would wear masks, but they're super kind and very attentive. This is always our first choice when we're in the area. I highly recommend visiting but I would be cautious during the pandemic since the staff doesn't wear masks.
