I loved living here. Mold covered the walls on Vermont Ave. They kicked my family out of 3 apartments at the same time and would not renew our lease instead of fixing our apartments. This was in 2011. My niece was born here at she is 10 years old now. Thanks.

At all cost literally do not live in this apartment complex. While this apartment may seem Inexpensive it is not worth your safety and mental health. My friend and I rented this apartment to live in while we we were finishing school. This apartment became an additional cause for concern for safety reasons and so much more. Due to a delay in my receiving my refund check my rent was 1 day late. After paying the late fee Kent village still proceeded to post a court letter on the front of the building with my entire name and address. Kent villlage uses this method as a form of shaming and has no regard for the safety of its residence. The blatant disregard for safety in kent village only continued to spiral as I noticed a man sitting next to my door in the hallway who I believed was a resident. The man returned again to which I called security and he was escorted out only to return again in 30 minutes. I became fearful go leave my apartment. The man began to routinely return every night to which myself or neighbors would call the security. I wrote to Kent village detailing what was going on and my safety concerns. I received no reply. I emailed and called Kent village several Times to resolve this safety threat including several pictures and. The man I suppose becoming irritated with the security being called on him decided to urinate on my door and down the hallway and put a used tissue on the peephole. With no response from Kent village I became scared to stay in my apartment alone. My roommate left suddenly due to a family emergency which caused me to stay out of my apartment for nearly a month. When I returned I saw that construction was taking place without my knowledge my furniture had been moved . This construction continued with men entering and exiting my apartment daily. This apartment complex also enters your apartment at least 2-3 times per month with sometimes a days notice. My roommate and i were fined after receiving a letter returning on Tuesday to a letter dated for Sunday that we had to move the furniture away from the wall by Monday. Southern Management also did nothing about their staff. Happy that I moved out but I am still being fined by the apartment. Its really not worth it.

I've been here for over two years. No complaints about mice or bugs, they do regular inspections and are quick to respond if you do see a bug. Maintenance appears to be challenged at times but at least they respond quickly. Here are my problems: i was told that they were switching us over to central ac, it hasn't happened yet and my electric bill runs almost $700 or more during the winter months and i sweat it our during the summer. Even though they haven't completed the central ac conversion they have announced that they will be starting a project to start replacing windows. How about one project at a time? I had several floods within a two week period, they shampooed but did not replace the carpet, you can still see water damage on the walls and some areas of the floor. I asked to be moved they said no and told me it was because I paid my rent late twice. I've made several complaints about my neighbors and nothing has been done. Someone kept breaking the locks on the front door and so they removed the front door as a form of punishment to the residents. I've complained about the water pipes sounding off like Gabriel's horn in the Book of Revelations and even with the minor repairs done it has not fixed the issue. The floors are thin and my neighbor paces back and forth all day and night and won't sit down. Sometimes it sounds like she's doing major construction in her apartment. I've complained about the weed smell which really doesn't smell like weed but something else stronger and there has been nothing done. You can never find security and what's the point of giving us their cell phone if it's going straight to vmail. I've actually road around the complex in the middle of the night looking for them. I've never had any problems out of the office staff. I just feel like they don't address your concerns about neighbors unless someone else complains as well and as far as I'm concerned no complaint should go unheard. I'm praying that I find something soon, where I can feel comfortable and not be embarrassed to have people to visit. I would say if you're starting out or trying to get yourself together, make it a stepping stone and don't stay too long.

All these negative comments are lies. I been living here since October 2016 no complaints and I was absolutely surprise due to the comments and what people was telling me. No rodents period. It's so quiet outside. No dudes hanging outside. This is the first time I lived somewhere and I'm completely satisfied. My company isn't afraid is stay over night no one broke into my car. I swear I don't have not one complaint and this is very surprising. When you love somewhere and you comfortable you don't mind paying your rent on time. I pay my ahead of time. I will be staying here until my daughter and I move into a house next year. I'm a true witness of Kent village is a good place to live
