The waiting room was empty. I had an appointment for 10am. I wasn’t called back until after 11am. Can’t conceive of a valid reason for that. I’m a provider (PA) who has worked in urgent care so I know the deal. The young PA who I saw was unapologetic for this and not very personable in general. Staff at the front desk were having audible conversations about how they had been fired by Banner Health. Not very professional.

I’ve been here before and had great service but today’s visit wasn’t as good. I guess there was an emergency and they were short staffed so I waited 4 hours. I was desperate and needed something for my illness so I waited. The woman at the desk was great, she was very understanding and patient when disgruntled patients came in. But I think because they were so far behind I was rushed through when seen and not sure was given the correct diagnosis. But I guess they were in a bind and I cannot totally fault them on that.

When I walked in to fast med I noticed right away the short little white lady behind a desk mannerism And tone changed as I walked in probably because my skin was brown, I had a scheduled appointment and have used Fastmed on several occasions and haven’t had it insurance card for a for a while now and I never have an issue because they’re always able to locate it all of a sudden she can’t find mine refused to help me and then sent me on my way saying Bye Bye Bye didn’t care that I was suffering didn’t try to help in anyway shape or form even though she tried to pretend she was with her attitude and her words you can see what the issue was and it was my skin. This is unfortunate that Paradise Valley fast med has someone like this working there I knew since I walked in she was going to be a problem and she was. I do not recommend you go there unless you were white because then she’ll be nice to you and help you like she did for all the other patients who happened to be white there but not me. This is Sad an unfortunate event I experienced.

I went to Fast Med on a Saturday afternoon. There were a number of patients waiting and 1 person working the front desk. Even though she was very busy she was personable and efficiently got everyone in to see the PA as quickly as possible. The nurse was also very friendly and professional. The PA saw me between seeing a patient that needed stitches and when her nurse had set up for the procedure. She shared my test results and let me know which medications I would need filled at the pharmacy. She discussed what to do next if medications were not working and gave me time to ask questions if I needed them. I appreciated the compassion and professionalism.
