My first Portillos experience was a win! The fries were so incredible and the hot dog was delicious too! Service in the drive-thru was exceptional. Will definitely be back!

An opportunity to eat at my childhood craving of Portillos. Food is on point and brings back all the Chicago vibes. Feel inside will making you look twice if somehow you've transcended from Phoenix burbs to Chicago burbs. Staff was a solid 2 star but given the joy in our hearts from transporting to Chicago we focused on our taste buds. Grouchy staff, cashier couldn't figure out how to take an order to save her life, staff was rude and exasperated to get us all of our missing items. Try to not ruin the experience people. Learn some kindness.

Beef sandwich was really tasty and reminded me of childhood troops to Chicago. The rest, not so much. But delicious nonetheless.

For a Chicago namesake this is a great a great tasting popular hot dog and loose meat sandwich establishment. It was a little greasy for my taste and could have had a bit more flavor and loose meat sandwich as as I may have been missing a topping or 2 but for the long line that I saw when entering we did move through fairly quickly. There are 2 different counters one for alcoholic beverages and 1 for everything else and the patio is quite a good option considering the inside seating is usually taken especially during lunch or dinner rushes.

Carry out or dine in or outside but every other table is closed and have to wear mask
Look at their website, it will tell you where they're expanding to. That's where I found out they're building one in Avondale.
I've never seen a sign saying they're closed for a holiday, but you can't go wrong calling. 🙂
The dining room is open but every other table is "roped off" to give space between diners.
