I made an appointment for an oil change. They said I could come the next day since they had to order the filter. Jiffy Lube just turned me away. They got me in on time the following day but didn't have the filter in stock (perhaps they ordered the wrong one). They ordered it and were able to change my oil in about an hour. The next time I had the oil changed somewhere else they told me they couldn't loosen the bolt. The PepBoys people seem to have stripped the $5 nut. It was annoying to have to find another place that could remove the stripped nut and replace it. Overall this place didn't come off as careful or trustworthy. If I didn't have to use them I wouldn't go to this place.

After the recent oil change the technician missed to fasten the bottom engine cover properly. The cover seemed to have been hanging but I never noticed, how often do we look what is under the car after an oil change? The cover hit a bump and that is when I noticed this. When I went back to the Pep Boys location after I found out about this, I was asked to come back again after making an appointment. The next time I went, the front desk person was extremely rude and straight away denied any mistakes from their side and told me to go 'Somewhere else'. On my insistence, he asked the technician to take a look. The technician didn't even bother to give any explanation instead, shouted from the work area to me who was sitting in the waiting area across the glass wall that I need to take the car to body shop to get it fixed. That is all the explanation I deserved. It is a clear case of the technician not doing his job properly but Pep Boys never took the responsibility and was just interested in getting me out. Few months ago I heard from someone that Asians are treated badly at this location but I experienced this myself today. . Never going back again to this place

Beware of these mechanics, I went there early this week or regular service maintenance for Oil change. Mechanics forgot to close the oil cap on my vehicle and when I drove off I started hearing some weird sounds in my inside of my cabin air started smelling oil good thing is it didn’t do much damage and all that but that’s something that they should figure before they even turn in the car back to the customer. It’s so sad that a big company you were saying you’ll be in good hands leaving your car for those mechanics fix your car.

Horrible customer service I set up an appointment for 12:30 pm I came at 11:15 pm is 1:21 and my car still outside don’t do an appointment online because is a lost of time they go by a list who ever come first! Appointment don’t matter, I will never come back to this store anymore

Yes, it’s a Pep Boys Tire and Service Center with mechanics for your car but you can’t just buy parts or products for self-service here.
It’s not closing. It is open for an oil change, repairs and for new tires but you can’t buy parts or products directly for self-service.
It has always been good for me, and I often go to the pepvoy on 82 nw near the mall de las americas
You would have to call the store direct. Asking on here you are just asking people who have been to the store not experts
Pepboys is really poor on customer service.in addition,services are really pricy.is like a fingerhut version on auto mechanic shops.
