Great college bar. Not a place you really want to take your date, unless you guys are super rowdy. Bartenders here are great and the drinks are super cheap. However, the bouncer with long black hair is so bad at reading IDs. I’ve had mine questioned and I showed a scan of my passport AND showed my expired vertical ID (which I somehow had on me lol), my friend’s was confiscated and it took a long time for him to get it back, and I’ve talked to others who’ve had similar issues or have had friends get in with fakes. One person showed me a crease in their ID because he tried folding it. This is really only an issue on weekend nights, usually during the school year, because that seems to be the only time they have a bouncer.

Jack and Dans had been my go to spot for an after shift drink since Pre-Covid. Monday nights with Ed behind the bar have been my favorite, but a close favorite to all my other nights there. If they’ve still got the fryer going late night or any other time you’re in there, the fish and chips can’t be beat in town. Cheers!

Always great to visit J&D's and all the great memories shared here with family and friends! Most especially The Zags games, although my hope is they invest in a larger corner TV for backroom large table by window, GO ZAGS! Great service and pub food. 👍
