Spent my birthday here one year and it was pleasant. Nice views to the beach and the hotel restaurant was nice. We went to Javier’s in Newport which was a bit sways but not too far. Long walk to room in the hotel tho but overall good experience.

It was fun two nights, the kids had fun in the pool and we made new friends with other nice families with children. The servers and the housekeeping staff were very polite and had great customer service skills. For the price we paid, unfortunately it did not measure up! I booked the hotel for 4 adults they gave us a tiny room with one king bed once they saw we were two adults and two small children at check in. I had to go back and question that so they gave us a new room with two queen beds. Just didn't feel welcomed at that moment and we probably will not go back there just because for the amount of money paid it's not worth it. We went there to relax and it was very noisy ac compressor maybe? And in the morning 8 am drilling noises and construction sounds. The property is really beautiful, with a nice view of the ocean and the coast line. The beach is nice too they have sand toys for the kids to borrow and will set up chairs and umbrellas for you. The food was delicious!

I think I found my easy beach get away! Easy flight in through SNA from Chicago. Fantastic location right on the beach. Great restaurants on ground but can also get a variety of cuisine near by. The room we booked had a balcony with beach views and we were very happy with the air we got. Overall very satisfied and looking forward to our next trip later this year!

This review is for the spa and salon. The front desk staff is quite hospitable and nice. Spa amenities are accessible with massages; the salon is separate. The deep tissue massage for me was not as good as I’ve had with other 5* resorts - and the steep pre-added gratuity was definitely not deserved for the $300 massage. The salon was perhaps worse than the spa 😅 the equipment is NOT sanitized between each client, and this was my classic manicure (55 + pre added gratuity) less than 24hours later (normal wear and tear - dinner and a walk on the beach). Needless to say, I expect better from a 5* resort/nail salon. Just my experience, I won’t be coming back for the spa! But the view - for sure!
