I renewed my tabs online with pickup at this location in December. I went on December 24th to pick them up since there was nothing stating the office was closed for observance - no messages online, no message on the voicemail. I arrive in mid afternoon as I'm heading out of town just to find out they are closed. Not even a note on the ample glass space. I go again Janaury 20th and once again, they are closed without anything online or on their voicemail stating they are closed. But there is a note on the window stating they are closed due to lack of staff. My registration expired in December. Kind of need it. I go to a different location where i'm informed of two things: 1. I will have to pay a $13.00 loss of tabs fee in order to obtain new ones there, even though they can see that I've not picked them up. 2. Policy states that if tabs are not picked up within 15 days, the office should have mailed them out, which they did not. This office should be refunding me the $16.00 (fee + card fee) I had to pay since they can't update their freaking voicemail or follow State processes.

Horrible treatment from one of the employees at the desk. She was unnecessarily hostile (unprovoked!). I came in twice because the first time I was instructed to bring proper paperwork to obtain a license plate. Once I came back I was told that my paperwork wasn’t valid, but it was exactly what she asked for! I asked her what was needed to obtain a license plate. Another lady had to step in because she couldn’t find a solution herself. Extremely unprofessional service.

Incomplete instructions about what I needed to do. Left, came back after I had the paperwork the employee requested; the employee entered half of the information, then told me the paperwork was wrong and I'd have to come back all while acting like I was an encumbrance.

You can do a report of sale online. The buyer will have to come in to an office to transfer in to their name.

First off, this is Auto licensing (DOL) not Driver licensing (DMV). Second ...no your new drivers license has to be mailed to the address on your license. It will not be forwarded to a new address if you move before you receive it (you will receive a new paper license at time of renewal). You can do an address change online.

No, this is vehicle licensing not driver licensing. You want DMV not DOL.
If the title is unreadable he will need the registered owner to accompany him when he goes to transfer the title and register the vehicle as long as it was previously titled/registered in WA. The current registered owner will need to fill out and sign an Affidavit of Lost Title, this can be done separately if they live in another part of the state but I believe the form must be notarized to be valid.
