Carlisle events (car shows) are always good. Lots of cars in the show fields, and usually some special vehicles in the few buildings, and lots of attendees. I'm deducting a couple stars because the bathrooms are too few and too far apart. Considering the number of attendees, and the size if the area, there need to be a lot more bathrooms. Bathrooms should not be an afterthought for an event space. And it shouldn't be similar to a third-world environment. Yes we know that other fairgrounds don't have great bathroom facilities either, but we expect better from Carlisle. Additionally, there are multiple entrances, and attendees typically enter whatever entrance is closest to where they parked (which is usually in some private yard area across the street from the fairgrounds), and when thinking of leaving the fairgrounds after many hours at a show, the attendees then need to find their way back to the entrance gate that they entered from (or an adjacent one). The Carlisle fairgrounds could have more signage to help show attendees where each entrance gate is. I had multiple people ask me questions about where their entrance gate is. The problem is that if you don't have the booklet you received when you entered, or you don't look it up on your phone, there are no map stands and no signage that point you in the tight direction (at least none that I saw). Luckily for me I took note of what I saw when I entered the fairgrounds at Gate #3, and remembered things inside the fairgrounds as I walked from Gate 3 further into the fairgrounds, so I would have an easier time finding that area when I planned to exit. I think there are lots of large fairground type areas (such as zoos) that do a much better job at having signage to point visitors in the right directions. At Carlisle, it seems you have to wander aimlessly unless you keep the paper map with you, but even that can be confusing. Why not have posts with signage, like many zoos have?

My friend Marvin and I entered his 1991 Ford 150 stepside truck Mark 3 edition into the 2022 Ford Nationals. He placed 3rd. It was a beautiful day for the show. Lots of Mustangs and other vehicles old and new. Vendor's galore ! Great food too.

Sounds great.plenty of room.
All prices for entry will be on the Carlisle events website
I think USPS Ground will be the best for you. Maybe some local ground shipping company will be cheaper? Good luck
There are two camping areas one close and one not so close
There is camping next to the grounds in our Clay St. lot immediately adjacent to Gate 1 for most shows. On grounds camping is only available during Import & Performance Nationals as well as Chevrolet Nationals. There is no camping available for Truck Nationals.
Not something we have any control over, that has nothing to do with our business. We are however building a new Homewood Suites Hotel right next to the Fairgrounds on Carlisle Springs Rd. at the former IAC site. Looking forward to it opening in 2021!
We do not issue refunds within 45 days of a show, and each case is handled individually - please call us at 717-243-7855 for more information.
We offer camping at most of our shows in our Clay St. lot immediately adjacent to Gate 1 of the Fairgrounds. We don't run out of space, so you simply just have to arrive at that lot to get a camping spot when you arrive for the show. This is dry camping with no hookups, but we do provide access to our bathrooms and shower facilities on grounds. Prices vary by show, please call 717-243-7855 for more specific information.
This is usually not an issue, but each case is unique. Please call us at 717-243-7855 to verify the status of your golf cart.
