The young lady that took my reservation was a delight. Room was a typical motel Which I wasn’t expecting much but once the cockroaches came out it bothered me. But what really bothered me was I ended up leaving and forgot to get my cash deposit so I went back later that night and the gentleman upfront felt the need to talk down to me like I was doing something wrong. As he sat likened way back in his chair, ponytail , rundown stained shirt and shirts covering his overweight 46 inch waist line Then as he opened up my envelope which had my $50 deposit he tried crumbling up a 20 and hiding it in his hand. Only giving me back 30. When I called him out on it he shrugged his shoulders and threw my crumpled up twenty under bulletproof glass window. Wow!!! Management you might want to rehire someone trustworthy for ur nightshift.

Yes, it's a place to lay down and try to sleep thru the night and it's affordable, but that's about it. During my three night stay, the first night of sleep was abruptly ended at 445AM with a fight out front and someone trying to kick in the door to the room next door; the second night ended with no water in the room for showers, sink or toilet. The bathroom smells of mold and the floor tiles move when walk on them. The staff listened to my complaints, but shined in my concerns. Will update after the third night. I've stayed at most of the hotels and motels on the Mesa. This one will not get my business again and I encourage others to look elsewhere for lodging on Newport Mesa, as well.

We originally had reservations at another hotel and that turned out to be a complete fiasco since they overbooked and had no rooms for anyone (several different groups) with reservations. We immediately started looking for another place and came across this one. Roland at the front desk that night was extremely helpful and got a room. He even gave us a discount because of what this other hotel had done. When we got into the room we were pleased. The room was clean and it even had a kitchen, even though we never used it. Location is easy access to the beach and to the fair grounds. I would recommend staying here.

Quirky but cool. definitely not for everyone. Our car broke down so walked in to get a room. some shady characters but they dont bug unless you get in their biz. Was told if I'm going to do any work out of the room, I gotta pay a fee...seems like lots of places like that. Room was fairly clean. bed was made, looked like fresh sheets, and best of all no bugs. When my b/f was out getting some food, a nice older man, guess he was guest relations came to the room. Said if I wanted company, to leave the curtains open a bit. Guess that is how girls advertise and guys shop. Made enough to get the car fixed and it also made me realize, I didnt want him as a b/f any more, this was too much fun. I stayed 3 days, he sayed 1 1/2. Bathroom was clean, good head room and fit 2 of us just fine. Nice place, friendly people and only has drama if you want it.
