Shopping while black Sad to get racially profiled and followed out the store by the manager who assumed I had stolen a loaf of bread and cheese because I rushed out of the store while black. Sad to get racially profiled in my community grocery store that I have been shopping at for over twelve years! Sad to call the owner to complain who said she would call me back. I am still waiting. One of the owners called me back and tried to rationalize the manager's behavior. That felt even more insulting. I have stopped shopping there except when I am in a real pinch. It doesn't feel neighborly anymore ...sadly.

Great spot in Bernal- love stopping in for picnic stuff to grab. My toddlers are particularly fond of their sushi. Great fresh delicious produce and selection. Nice offerings from local businesses. Very cozy and lovely staff. Highly recommend. Street parking only.
