It's either you like this place or hate it. I went to get my kids passport done. Made an appointment. Although they were slow they were very efficient. I'd rather wait an extra 5 min and make sure things are done well.

FIRE MIA!!! I had the displeasure of talking with Mia at the Orinda post office when we hadn’t received mail for two whole weeks following a lift on hold while we were on vacation. She couldn’t care less and didn’t give us any options/support/solution except for the phone number to the post office.

This post office is often understaffed. Julie is lovely: works hard to get things done, always pleasant. Mia is a really a problem. Because she is protecting her long fingernails, she uses a pencil eraser to slowly, slowly, slowly punch in each number on the keyboard. If her fingernails are more important than completing her work tasks, perhaps she should be employed in a different kind of position. Given a complex mailing task today, she repeatedly told me that it would take a long time to complete, and then said that it could not be mailed at all. I went home and looked up the details at the USPS website and she was incorrect. I think she just didn't feel like doing the work.
