I came to Love a child missions in 2017. I began working in the office as a volunteer and i fell in love with the mission here. Jerome Knott , is so amazing and has such a heart for the children and God. No Place will be perfect for everyone but we do our best to make sure that everyone is welcome and treated with respect.

Both my parents and my Grandma lived in this program and it helped better their lives. My Dad was there as a child with his Mother. My Mom was there before she met my Dad. They both were helped by Love A Child missions. My Mom and Dad now do missionary work for Love A Child. Since they have been doing work for homeless women and children I have met many children and mothers that Love A Child has and is still helping. GOD has Blessed this place and many people who have been through this shelter. I hope this review is helpful. Have a blessed day .

I was here as a kid and this is where my mother was saved became clean and sober. I see a few complaints here and I understand why. Many of the people complaining have never lived in a shelter. Every shelter has bugs because people are coming off the streets in and out. This shelter gives the women cottages to stay in with stoves and refrigerators which is not offered in other shelters. They have clean beds to sleep in also. Other shelters allow you to only have one bag that in most cases you have to take with you everyday because there is a set time you have to leave everyday and a certain time you are allowed to come back. So this means they have to find somewhere to be everyday for hours with their belongings. LoveAchild does not do this to the ladies. They provide a loving environment for the ladies to get back on their feet and have been doing this for over 30 years. Some may not want to come forward but I will tell you this, if you go into just about any store in Contra Costa County there will be one or more women working there who were able to get back on their feet because of LoveAChild Mission. Think about that! This I promise you is the truth. By the way my wife was also able to get back on her feet with the help of LoveAChild many years ago and we met without even knowing this. I don't know where my Mom My wife or myself would be without that place. Shame on anybody that has something bad to say about the only shelter in the county that is open 24/7 to take in a woman and her child in the middle of the night on short notice!
