On October 2017 I discovered my last name on the invoice was misspelled. The store manager apologized but did not offer to find out who in the SF store was responsible. When I demanded action, NY office personnel called me and asked me "What do you want?" Since then I stopped shopping at JCrew stores and online. I only began visiting the online store more than a year later (November 2018). But I haven't been back to the SF store. Terrible service.

I wanted to go into the store and while it was getting close to closing time there was more than 20 minutes left and as I got close to the doors someone working there was literally blocking the door saying over and over that they're closed, he didn't even let me in and kept aggressively saying they were closed. I tried to ask what time they would be closed the following day and he couldn't seem to understand and said 10 and when I tried to clarify what he meant it he finally managed to tell me 8:30 but really struggled with it and didn't seem to understand my basic question. I left and walked away and had someone from inside the store run out and say if I wanted to shop I could but after that frustrating experience I didn't want to and it was made worse because I was just looking for a gift for someone else. I expect much better service from J. Crew and if this is an indication of what it's going to be like than I'll take my business elsewhere.

The service at the San Francisco store is generally great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always willing to go above and beyond for the customer. J. Crew clothing is always made with the best material, allowing you to get your use out of each item. The San Francisco store also carries a lot of specialty items that other stores do not carry, especially for men.
