I have never had anything but excellent customer service from the Humane Society. We have found our last fur babies there and each time they went the extra mile for our family. Thank You for your services....

I was interested in a dog for adoption, and was given an appointment this week of Wednesday. I show up, and they tell me the dog is getting spayed and they shouldn't have scheduled that appointment. So, I get another appointment after spending 45 minutes learning about the dog and provide my phone number as I now cannot get back to see the dog until Saturday. The shelter staff was adamant they would call me should she get adopted. I come today and was told "what about one of her puppies" when I firmly expressed no, I was told "there were complications in her spay" and then "she was adopted already." I've now gone twice and never provided the opportunity or informed. If she was available as they originally said on Wednesday, I would have had the opportunity to adopt her. No understanding of people's time or commitment. Lack of communication. I will go elsewhere. I even wanted to look into volunteering opportunities. If you want good communication, look elsewhere.

The people are all very kind, and they love the animals they have there very much. All they want is for the animals to go to good, loving homes. The adoption fee for the dog we rescued from them was $100 plus the licensing fee.

Horrible place. The lady that was there made a sad decision worse. It was already a sad day, we loved our dog. But under the circumstances we couldn't take care of her the way she needed. And all the lady did when we got there was scold us for not doing enough. We had no other reasonable option. Whomever reads this please tell front desk lady that she needs to work on her social skills, and try to learn how to read the situation. We did everything in our power to keep our dog. Dont shame us for trying to find our dog a better home.

Questions & Answers

My neighbors have an aggressive dog that they let roam freely, this dog has come into my yard and charged at both my roomate, myself, and my 1 year old son on multiple occasions. Can I have them cited for letting an aggresive animal out?

Can your dog be unleashed in your own yard with no fence

Yes your dog can be unleashed in your own yard but it must remain in your yard and not leave it. If your dog goes off your property it is said to be running at large, a citable offense.
