It's nice to have a New China location a bit closer to home. I used to come here back when it was still Golden Lantern, it was a loss to see them go but nice to see that it was another Chinese restaurant that moved in. None of the decor has changed, which I appreciate since the original Golden Lantern had a very nice feel to it. One thing that has remained consistent since new ownership took over is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything always looks spotless here. The service is much faster now, the staff has been consistently friendly every time I've visited. Golden Lantern unfortunately had slowed down a lot towards the end, which was a shame because they had great food. Takeout orders are almost always ready when I come to pick them up now, and they're well packaged as well. The girl who answers the phone has always been great as well, very friendly and fast service. Definitely still a sit down restaurant, but you can expect your food to arrive to you in a reasonable amount of time.

I've been eating here every couple weeks and it's been good. Until tonight. I ordered chicken w asparagus, they called me right away because they were out of asparagus. Although disappointed, I went ahead and got it with green beans. Also ordered sweet and sour chicken, and chicken fried rice. Totally disappointed tonight. The rice was crunchy. The sweet and sour was soggy and the green beans were so stringy, plus very little chicken with the beans. I pulled out all chicken and had more than 3/4 beans in the box. I'll go ahead and try one more time, but it'll be the last if it's not good. Too expensive to continue if the food is not good a second time.

We were coming from a 3 hour road trip and wanted Chinese food. We got there at 7pm and we were greeted with politeness and were escorted to our seats. The food came fresh, the presentation was beautiful, the taste was exquisite, and the writer's service was excellent. The food was not over powering I'm taste and we didn't wait that long for our food. We will definitely come here again if we are in the area.
