I got a covid test on this place, the nurse did not know how to do the test, they gave me a negative result, I went to another place and indeed it was positive, I could have infected other people due to this lack of practice and professionalism.

After returning home from vacation with symptoms of coughing and sore throat, my father and I visited CityMD thinking we needed an antibiotic, as one of our family members was treated on our cruise for an URI. The facility administered rapid COVID tests to us both- my father’s was positive and mine was negative. They then said before prescribing me any medication, I needed to wait for my PCR results (my father was not given a PCR). 2 days later my PCR came back negative, but I was far more ill than I was at the time of the visit- body aches, fever, sore throat, coughing, ear pain, fatigue. I called the office again explaining that if my PCR was negative but I was getting worse, I likely needed an antibiotic. They said I needed to be seen in office again. I had already been seen in office 2 days prior and received minimal care once my father tested positive, and both of us had paid copays. I asked if the copay could be waived since my care from the previous appointment was put on hold awaiting test results or if an antibiotic could be prescribed over the phone since I was already evaluated. Very long story short, I was transferred back and forth between the site and aftercare, on hold for 40+ minutes multiple times only to be disconnected multiple times after these wait times. I was told the copay could not be waived. I was then told the clinician said an antibiotic was being sent over. When I inquired which, the drug name given to me was not an antibiotic but a cough suppressant (benzonatate) which I had already been prescribed when I called the office immediately after leaving and asked for something for the cough (42 minutes on hold) which was not helping now that I have worsened. Clearly my records had not been checked, and also, I was told that a cough suppressant was an antibiotic, so CityMD was misinformed (my father is a pharmacist). After a total of approximately 2 hours being transferred back and forth, put on hold and disconnected, I went to StatCare where I was reevaluated and prescribed an antibiotic, cough medicine, and a nasal spray. The aftercare service of CityMD was horrendous, at best. I highly recommend StatCare for urgent care needs and at the very least, would like my copay refunded to remedy this situation.

I have been sitting here for 45 minutes, waiting for a chest X-ray. I was the 4th person taken in today, so the line can not be that long. Also, no one has bothered to open the door to see if I am even still alive or not. Very disappointing.

The attention to patient care is incredible here!! Right when you walk in through the door, you are greeted and directed to where you need to be according to what your visit entails. The staff are super helpful and kind and answer any questions you have without an attitude. In fact they ask if you have any questions and are more than willing to help you with whatever issue you are having!! I had a problem with the forms and they quickly assessed it and helped me figure it out. It’s a quick in and out too!! I got in and was able to see a doctor within like 5 mins!! The doctor and the nurse practitioners were super sweet and helpful! They immediately got to making me feel comfortable and seeing what my problem was and figuring out a solution quickly! Everyone was super kind and helpful and I’m really grateful to have such an experience from here, especially since I don’t have a primary care anymore due to insurance reasons, this place is a great substitution! Highly recommend!!
