I am not impressed that there is no doorbell to ring individual rooms, so I can't just drop by and visit mom since I can't just go up to her room and knock on her door due to the locked entry doors. The call system at the door rings mom's cell which I already have and she sometimes has turned off in her purse, so there's no way to stop by and check up on her if I don't hear from her and can't reach her. If I do happen to get her, she has to come downstairs to the entry hall to let me in since the system to buzz in visitors to open the doors from her room doesn't work. The halls often smell smoky even though residents are not supposed to smoke in the building. Mom's top floor room is consistently hot--she has had to run ac even on 50 degree days. It is super difficult to keep her room a comfortable temperature in the summer despite a powerful brand new ac. Parking is limited and this means Visitor parking becomes more limited as residents with cars move in. Mom loves the free bread, birthday get togethers, and she compliments the effectiveness of the laundry machines. She is happy there is a community garden.
