Applebee's Grill + Bar

They have a chicken Caesar salad that I enjoy. I get it crunchy. The fish is always usually overcooked. The drinks are watered down a whole half a cup of ice. Why?! My server was great. I liked her. The manager was unbelievably lazy. I had a problem with my drink and sent my drink back three times and then the waitress said she would get the manager. I saw her have a conversation with him and he refused to come to the table. She even got behind the bar herself and finally made me a great drink. I don't know who the bartender is but he is horrible. I also noticed that he was not wearing correct PPE to be handling the fruits and all the other things that go on behind a bar. The location is the best part of this Applebee's do not order any drinks. You will waste your money. You will not like them. Food is overcooked often and like all Applebee's portions are small. There was also a shouting match between customers when we were waiting to be seated because the two women at the front were telling people to sit and wait to be seated once booths opened but they didn't actually ask anyone for their names. Even actually ignoring the customer saying do you want my name so they did not know the correct order to see who would get served first. This led to dishonesty with people saying they were here before others, but since there was no actual proof they actually let the customers have an argument about something that shouldn't have occurred. If they had just did the professional thing like many restaurants do and take a name and as names are called people know their order.

This happened on 06/07. Asked for Parmesan sauce and shrimp on both the steaks and salmons and was up charged for it but wasn’t presented. The steak was so well done I could barely pull my fork out and the potatoes were cold as well as the broccoli was cold hence the cheese barely melted. We tried to get the MOD attention but he walked past up several times and kept saying he was coming. We waited and finally got him to come but had he came the first ten minutes we tried to get him my plate could have been done over but after waiting so long I didn’t even get to enjoy lunch with my husband before he went to work. This was such poor service and we frequent this location often because it’s close by and we love the outside area.

Applebees was good experience. That was my first time eating in the one on Fordham. Happy Hour drinks were on point, the appertizers was good and 🎶 was just right. We will definitely be going back to that one!!.

This particular location is pretty big and it is a duplex with a Bar on the main floor, a Mini Bar up on the second and outdoor seating so when the season or weather is right. The place is clean, organized, and is decorated with lots of Bronx History and Sports memorbilia with TVs covering every sports channels along the walls but I noticed recently a few booths had their upholsteries torned, ripped, and taped up in some areas. I hope they get it fixed up. The service here is good, the waiters and waitresses are on point and very tentive to meet your wants and needs with a positive attitude. Food arrives at a fairly quick time, and food and drinks have been great with every visit so far. No complaints there. This locations does not have its own parking lot, the restrokms are roomy and clean, they also do take outs. I have visited this location several times and will continue to visit this location as it is one of the best in the Bronx. Thanks and Enjoy.
