Once in autumn, there were many couples taking wedding photos. This week, it was very hot. My friends and I chose to have a picnic in this park. It was very pleasant to sit under a big tree and watch the boat passing by on the Hudson River in the breeze.

It was absolutely beautiful and definitely worth the visit. If you get there early you not only find parking but also get to enjoy the views with no one around. It was such a peaceful experience and you will be surprised what you find while hiking along trails. I actually seen a vulture just hanging out and that was the 1st for me. Never seen one up close and personal. I think it was following me to see if i eventually keel over from dehydration. Lol Make sure to bring water because it gets pretty hot there. I will be going back soon. See you guys there.

This place is spectacular! All in bloom (we visited in June) and fantastic views of the Hudson, these gardens are a must stop if you are in the area. Great for any age as there are multiple paths to see the sites there. Lots of waterfalls to be found on the grounds and forest paths.

A hidden gem in Yonkers. This park transports you to a time of the great gatzby. The gardens and river views are breath taking. From mosaic floors to a tall column gazebo you'll feel like royalty strolling through the wonders of the estate park. There's many wonders to explore. Enjoy the stroll.

This past year we added more than 50 additional parking spaces for the gardens. You may park there or use street parking on North Broadway. Street parking is free until you're near the hospital but do be aware that there is alternate side parking on North Broadway.
Nope. Its free. They have free parking inside and you also can get free road parking outside.
The gardens have a public bathroom. There is no playground, basketball court or sprinkler (except for the ones we use to water plants!)
Picnicking is allowed in designated areas. There are a limited number of picnic tables and two areas in which picnic blankets are allowed.
Please DO make a donation! The park relies heavily on private donations to stay open and beautiful.
We are not currently doing timed entry tickets. Visit our website for up to date information: www.untermyergardens.org
Yes, they have about 10 spaces inside but usually there are on the street.
The tulips are now at peak bloom on May 4. They generally last 1-2 weeks, depending on weather. Rain and or heat can shorten their bloom time.
