A wonderful place to get a pet. I got my cat there 10 years ago and he's the best. Adoption fees go towards fixing, vaccinations, and microchipping plus and initial visit at a local VCA once your new pet is home. They also take back animals if something happens. No questions asked. These people are good people and I highly recommend adopting your next pet here.

Adopted my 2 cats from there. The adopting screening made it safe for the animals! Melanie made it a great time there! The shelter was very clean aswell

We adopted Duncan from WARL over 10 years ago. He was handsome blonde pittie with a stand-offish personality and minor trust issues. Over the years Duncan has evolved into great companion. He's received his Good Cititzenship Certificate, always gets compliments on his looks / behavior when on walks. We traveled across country, he handled the drive, hotel stays like a champ. We even found out that he is a 100% American Staffordshire Terrier! Duncan turns 13 this year and he is finally slowing down. I know Liz is no longer with WARL but I wanted to thank Liz and the WARL staff for the opportunity to adopt this wonderful dog. Keep doing what you are doing especially for the Pit Bulls as they so often get over looked or are the receiving end of negative publicity. In closing, I wanted to share a couple pictures of Duncan

I recently adopted a rescue dog from WARL 2 weeks ago. Our experience working with WARL was incredible. The people at WARL are devoted animal lovers who truly want to find the best homes for their adoptable animals. We visited three separate times with our new dog, to make sure if was a good match for him and for us. WARL was so generous that they supplied us with all the pet supplies you could imagine- including food, treats, toys, leash/harness, food puzzles, and blankets. It is inspiring to see how well they take care of their animals and are committed to finding the best home for them.

I can! you can go to my website at animalheavenpetservices.wordpress.com
Simply call or visit and ask if they can locate a way for you to find a cockatiel that needs home... When you do adopt get an avian vet and have your bird Checked .. This allows you good advice and you could find out if it's. A boy or girl Also til you do adopt and after Subscribe to BIRDTALK MAGAZINE.. Good luck .. cockatiel are loving, intelligent, and needs stimulation so bird toys Are a must
Depends on the puppies available if they have any It has a sliding scale depending on the situation for each animal ready to adopt They open at 12 noon Weds and Saturdays are good days to inquire about availability.
We are not licensed to handle wildlife. You may call Animal Control at 508-799-1211 or Tufts Wildlife Dept. Thank you
Not true. You can schedule an appointment to meet an animal but if you're not able to come in within a couple of days, other people can schedule an appointment ahead as multiple applications are normally taken to find the best match. If the dog did get adopted prior to your appt. you should have been notified. It is difficult to keep up with the demand of small dogs. Apologies..
It depends and you should certainly call during the week to be sure, but it's at least $100. All shots are up-to-date.
Various dogs at any given day. They have a good turn around when it comes to adoptions. I have two myself. They go quickly so be prepared to take one home when you go.
Whatever they have around. Call them, they're very nice.
Only at the Worcester Animal League
sometimes they have young ones. I woud ask about adoption polaces and prosess
no
How old is her jack russell, did you ever get an answer?
Dogs under 12 months old are 350 dollars but it includes spaying/neutering, all shots, full check up by a vet, a collar and leash, tons of coupons to pet stores, and a first well visit with a local vet after adoption, and free training classes twice a week. Definitely a great place to rescue an animal.
As far as I recall, they are only open from 12:00 til 4:00 I think every day. Your best bet is to try calling or go there to ask them. They are hard to get ahold of when calling. Be patient or send and e-mail.
Maybe ...I everytime I go there I them dealing wit dogs...it good question...
It depends on the age. A friend just adopted a 1 year old and paid 145 but she's spayed and vaccinated and the first vet visit at a VCA is free. I think the rest of the fees are listed on their website
No. You have to pay for an animal thats been taken care of.
just call them and ask if they could use a volunteer.
Neady dogs in Sterling, MA
warl would!
We went there last week - by appointment. We met with a WARL associate who was very pleasant and asked a number of kind, but thoughtful questions. She was trying to determine the best fit between ourselves, our home environment, and the pets they currently have for adoption. They have a one page - easily completed - information form. Their fees seemed quite reasonable and appear to vary by animal.
Just talked to you on the phone...
$195 under 1 year
I think that it is $225 for an adult dog or puppy. May be less for a senior dog. The initial cost of adopting is not nearly as high as what you will pay for food and vet care for the dog once it is yours. If the initial adoption fee is a concern for you then owning a dog will most likely be a hardship.
We're here..it's ok 🙂
Our adoptions are currently by appointment only. Pets are listed on our website worcesterarl.org Thank you
We get them! - check our website daily to see our adoptable dogs www.worcesterarl.org
What area is he missing from and you can try the lost pets page on Facebook
Yes
Look on their website or call. You need to make an appointment to visit with any of the animals.
They do. You can go to their website and look up who they have ready for adoption. You can also call them directly, too. You do need to call to make an appointment if you're interested in a cat/kitten.
yes!
Yes you can go to give a pet love for some time
You can check their website for pictures and info of all the dogs currently up for adoption!
Your best option would be to give the shelter a call during business hours and someone there should be able to give you up to date information.
o
I don't think so but I would call
Warl is the local animal shelter for the city of worcester they are on holden st
You can check their instagram page, they are always posting pictures of the animals that are currently up for adoption! They have such an influx of animals, that might be the best way to keep an eye out for a particular dog breed you are looking for!
Hi - I work at WARL and she is there and safe.
Adoption forms are filled out in-person once you've decided on a specific animal.
you could also ship it
She's amazing with kids but lately has no energy and hardly eats I try to take her outside she doesn't have the energy for it I try to feed her healthy food she won't eat it and give her her medicine she's not getting better I just want what's best for her. Trust me I don't want to give her up especially when I pay a lot of money and invest in a lot of money in her.
I would like a baby kitten, possibly a tortishell female or male
WARL is open 7 days a week so there always there, they spend the majority of the morning and afternoon cleaning and feeding all of the animals. If they were open for adoptions all hours they are there they wouldnt get much done.
Free from your local shelter
Over A Week! 25.00 Dollars A Day! They Clean The Kennel And Blankets Every Day! After Four Days They Bath Your Pet! Staff Is Very Caring!
Absolutely. They do a great job rehousing pets. Dont be afraid of surrendering your pet. Its better than abandoning it.
Are you giving away kittens
Yes we do :)
Agree call the WARL as soon as possible..keeping in efforts to rescue these animals. Regards
I honestly don't think so right at WARL however they might recommend one. I frequent the Pampered Pet in Paxton but that may not be close to you
Why does nobody want the dog is there something wrong with him
I was able to adopt my dog same day. You'll need proof you are allowed to have pets in residence (proof you own, or lease showing pets allowed if you rent).
Not sure but call them and they will take you through the steps.
Call worcester animal control
I just bought a puppy from them .. If i remember it was $350.00 they come with shots and neutered and you get a puppy package to go to the vet
Rodent control or wildlife control officer. Google in your area.
No. Horses go up to Nevin's.
Put a flyer up at a local vets office
Sometimes, but not all the time
yes!
They have quite a few volunteers, i am sure they would appreciate help. I would call them.
They do have some that are adoption fee waived, but they have adoption fees to help keep themselves open, keep their animals fed, and make sure they go to a good home that can afford to provide for them.
Sometimes. If you visit the website, there's a section for small animals ready for adoption; guinea pigs are sometimes available.
You could take her to the animal rescue and tell them you found the cat and have been unable to locate the owner. If you want the cat, you could tell them you'd like to give it a home but can't afford the vet visit and meds at this time.
Any time. There is a drop off location when closed
Go there look at the available cats , see if you like one , pay the adoption fee ,.
It's a simple form you fill out and they need to meet everyone who lives in the household. It's same day adoption
amozon has them or tractor supply
You need to donate an amount of $ to allow the care of your cat .. (helps the shelter expenses) And why you need to bring your cat in.. It's a good shelter and most cats are adopted within 14 days (It is a non kill shelter..)
Give the Shelter a call. They're really good with assistance on matters such as this.. Good Luck
Shave em
You should call them and ask them. They have all types of cats at all different times.
I did. Any kind. I tried to donate a good quality food that was all natural, grain free etc.
Stop down
Go introduce yourself and ask to see the dog you are interested in.. we looked online before we went and we were able to adopt the pair we hoped for..
Yes call them directly..
I'm a supporter, not a volunteer or employee - but I've been visiting there for a dozen years. Many, many times over I'd see a sign that a dog or a cat is at the shelter as the previous owners were no longer able to care for them. So, yes, they do accept such animals.
